[PATCH] x86/hap: fix race condition between ENABLE_LOGDIRTY and track_dirty_vram hypercall
There is a race condition between XEN_DOMCTL_SHADOW_OP_ENABLE_LOGDIRTY
and HVMOP_track_dirty_vram hypercall.
Although HVMOP_track_dirty_vram is called many times from qemu-dm
which is connected via VNC, XEN_DOMCTL_SHADOW_OP_ENABLE_LOGDIRTY is
called only once from a migration process (e.g. xc_save, libxl-save-helper).
So the race seldom happens, but the following cases are possible.

[Xen-ia64-devel] [PATCH 0/3][IA64] Accelerate IDE PIO on HVM/IA64
Hi,
This set of patches remarkably accelerates IDE PIO on HVM/IA64.
I got a throughput of 2.11MB/sec in disk read performance.
Without it, it was only 64kB/sec.
I posted the prototype once.

The basic idea is to add a buffering mechanism in a hypervisor.
I know this approach is not sophisticated. But there is no other

[PATCH] x86/hvm: fix corrupt ACPI PM-Timer during live migration
The value of ACPI PM-Timer may be broken on save unless the timer mode
is delay_for_missed_ticks.
With other timer modes, vcpu->arch.hvm_vcpu.guest_time is always zero
and the adjustment from its value is wrong.
This patch fixes the saved value of ACPI PM-Timer:
- don''t adjust the PM-Timer if vcpu->arch.hvm_vcpu.guest_time is zero.
- consolidate calculations of PM-Timer to one

[PATCH] vmx: fix debugctl handling
I recently realized that the original way of dealing with the DebugCtl
MSR on VMX failed to make use of the dedicated guest VMCS field. This
is being fixed with this patch.
What is puzzling me to a certain degree is that while there is a guest
VMCS field for this MSR, there''s no equivalent host load field, but
there''s also no indication that the MSR would be cleared during a

[PATCH]xend: fix a typo in pci.py
The PCI_EXP_TYPE_PCI_BRIDGE should be PCI_EXP_FLAGS_TYPE here.
Also a tiny fix to the python comment.

"make check" test-hash-method bus error (Sparc alignment)
Hi there,
when doing "make check" for a 2.3.0 build on Solaris Sparc I get a bus
error due to an alignment issue.
It seems the error is only happening during testing, because in the
official API it was fixed in
https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/d8361cc8576d9ede93a037f9b96f2a3f9b7e9054#diff-2ff53ae0e00a90ee20d648229ad91d2b
But the tests use hand written test vectors, that are

[Patch] Enable "sysrq c" handler for domU coredump
Hi,
In the case of linux, crash_kexec() is occured by "sysrq c".
In the case of DomainU on xen, Help is occured by "sysrq c" now.
So The way of dumping DomainU''s memory manualy is nothing.
I fix this issue by the following way.
1. Panic is occured by "sysrq c" on both Domain0 and DomainU.
2. On DomainU, coredump is generated in /var/xen/dump (on Domain0).

Resampler, memory only variant
Hi,
Here's the (hopefully) final version of the resampler, now always using
st->mem as the buffer area. It only allocates buffers on the stack when
it's necesarry to convert the output between int and float.

modules not processing in order
Hello there
I''m just testing a module (see merging directories) and it is quite
involved, in that it:
__generic__
1) creates a user
2) creates a base directory
3) copies generic files (directory with recursion)
4) generate a configuration file from a template
5) creates a symlink
__os specific__
6) copies os specific files (in my scenario two folders, and an init
script)
7)

UTF-8 patch for Samba 2.0.7
See description in the attached patch.
-------------- next part --------------
This quick hack adds primitive support of UTF-8 as a server 'character
set' to Samba 2.0.7. All file, share and user names are stored on server
in UTF-8, and translated into client code page (not UCS2) on the fly.
Additionally, server string conversion is added. Tested with Chinese and
Russian Windows clients.

vpmu=1 and running 'perf top' within a PVHVM guest eventually hangs dom0 and hypervisor has stuck vCPUS. Romley-EP (model=45, stepping=2)
This issue I am encountering seems to only happen on multi-socket
machines.
It also does not help that the only multi-socket box I have is
an Romley-EP (so two socket SandyBridge CPUs). The other
SandyBridge boxes I''ve (one socket) are not showing this. Granted
they are also a different model (42).
The problem is that when I run ''perf top'' within an SMP PVHVM
guest,

vmx_update_guest_cr() losing EXCEPTION_BITMAP setting
Running a heavily modified xen-unstable changset 19590:f80cf52a4fb6 with debugger_attached set, I was seeing the debug traps getting lost from the EXCEPTION_BITMAP in vmx_update_guest_cr() when transitioning from real to protected mode. In my codebase, I could fix this trivially by clearing the debug_state_latch and letting vmx_do_resume() reapply the setting. However, while it looks like a valid
