[patch 6/7][PCIE-AER]Enable PCIE-AER support for XEN
Patch 6 pciback_err_handler.patch: Implementation for enabling PCIE_AER support in XEN This patch is the main implementation for enabling PCIE_AER handling, adding related pci error handler in pciback and pcifront. When a device sends a PCIE error message to the root port, it will triger an interrupt. The irq handler will then collect roor error status register, then schedule a work to process

Passthrough support ?
Hi , I have been trying to understand PCI -passthrough support. Please correct me if I am wrong in my following inferences. 1. Device emulation and pass through are both implemented using split drivers. 2. But, in case of emulation drivers of dom0 are used where as in case of passthrough ( as the name suggests ) native drivers in domU are used . 3. dom0 provides a virtual PCI device { an

Fwd: BUG in linux+v3.2.1/drivers/xen/xen-pciback/pci_stub.c
First, maintainer''s addresses (Ryan Wilson <hap9@epoch.ncsc.mil>, Chris Bookholt <hap10@epoch.ncsc.mil>) are wrong (users unknown to remote mailsystem), so posting to you: PCI bus format strings are wrong. "%04x:%02x:%02x.%d" should be used instead of "%04x:%02x:%02x.%1x" (in many places of linux+v3.2.1/drivers/xen/xen-pciback/pci_stub.c) --

instrumental variables regression using ivreg (AER) or tsls (sem)
Dear friends, I am trying to understand and implement instrumental variables regression using R. I found a small (simple) example here which purportedly illustrates the mechanics (using 2-stage least-squares): http://www.r-bloggers.com/a-simple-instrumental-variables-problem/ Basically, here are the R commands (reproducible example) from that site: # ------ begin R library(AER)

Unable to pass device to IOMMU
Hello, I''m hoping someone may be able to push us in the right direction. I''m trying to get one of our products to work with the current branch of Xen (4.0/4.0.0) but I''m hitting a problem. We are currently using Xen 3.3.2 on a Sun Blade 600 chassis (with x6270 blades) this works great. But when we upgrade to Xen 4.0/4.0.1 we get the following message when

[pvops-dom0]Let PV ops guest could handle Machine Check trap
Hi, Jeremy and all This small patch lets pv ops guest handle machine check trap. When non fatal mce error happens, xen will inject vMCE# to the impacted pv ops guest. This patch allows pv ops guest could receive machine check trap and enter its own machine check handler. PV driver domains and S3 sleep
Hello, The topic is self-explanatory: how to ensure that a PV driver domain correctly prepares its PCI devices for S3 sleep? If I do "pm-suspend" in dom0, and the driver domain has active network interfaces, suspend hangs the system. Yes, in case of this particular machine, suspend works fine when there is no driver domain. It is possible to manually invoke scripts from

Network Interface Options
I see that by default Xen seems to emulate a Realtek 8139 in my hvm''s. I have a quad port Intel PCIe nic available and wondered if I remove the network line altogether from the config and pass the nic in will I have near native performance without pv drivers? Also, is it possible to pass in one of each of the 4 ports into 4 different hvms? I don''t exactly know how the NIC
