Dailplan code for holiday detection?
This has been on my ToDo list far too long. I have a small call-center setup, with basic time of day/day of week validation before putting callers in the queues. With the holidays upon us, I need to add check to see if 'today' is a holiday so I do not put callers in unmanned queues. Due to how the agents work, I have to allow joinwhenempty. Does anyone have a snippet of dialplan code,

Identifying US holidays
Hello! I am trying to identify which ones of a vector of dates are US holidays. And, ideally, which is which. And I do not know (a-priori) which dates those should be. I have, for example: x<-seq(as.Date("2011-01-01"),as.Date("2011-12-31"),by="day") (x) I think chron should help me here - but maybe I am not using it properly: library(chron) is.holiday(chron) #

Showing rows on a page
This is my first rails program and I?m having trouble figuring out how to show rows on the page when there may not be rows in the database. There are 3 tables, employees, cost_codes and timesheet, I will simplify them when describing them later on. When an employee logs in, I would like to pull up their timesheet, which should consist of one row per cost code. So timesheet would look a

Dialplans & Holiday Dates
I have a working dialplan for our phone system with Mon-Fri, business hours identification, etc. But what I'm lacking right now is support for company holiday dates. What I'd like to do is to create a database of these dates and just update them as new years rollover. I suspect others have done this sort of thing with Asterisk before, but I've not found any resources so far.

Exclude holidays in a subset of dates?
Hi All, I am iterating through dated materials, with variable start and end dates, and would like to skip procedures everytime I encounter a weekend or holiday. To do this, I thought the easiest way would be to create a TRUE/FALSE vector corresponding to each day where it is TRUE if a workday, and FALSE if a weekend or holiday. So far I have been able to do this for weekdays: startDate <-

Eager loading problem. Help greately appreciated
Each Timesheet has an employee. An employee has a division and a location. I want to find all the timesheets with a status of 2. I then iterate over the timesheet collection and print the timesheet name, employee name, employee divison name, and employee location name. Like so: for t in Timesheet.find(:all,:conditions=>"status=2",:include=>:employee) puts timesheet.date

select vs. select_tag
I have a "Users" object and a "Timesheets" object. Each timesheet entry belongs to a User, which is selected from a drop-down list. The timesheet has a user_id field. (The user needs to have an option to select a different user due to the way our system works.) If i use the "select" object, which is bound to the Timesheet model, using this code: <%= select

Distributing a Rails app
I''ve developed a Rails application that I''d like to make generally available, but I''m not sure how to go about this, or even what tools are most appropriate. Is this something that the Rails framework provides, or is it a job for Rake? for Rubygems? for Tar2rubyscript or Rubyscript2exe? A pointer to a "Distributing your Rails Application" would be ideal. --

Fastest way of adding " " around multiline text in RADRAILS

Holiday Scheduling
I want to edit my dialplan to change messages depending on whether or not it is a holiday. I have found only one example of this, but the syntax is not explained. The example is: include=>holiday||||1|jan| I know that this would use the holiday context on the first of January, but why are there 4 pipes before 1 What is the exact syntax of this? Let's say that I want to use the holiday
