[PATCH][RFC] Support more Capability Structures and Device Specific
I am submitting the patch which supports more Capability Structures and Device Specific Registers for passthrough device. In Xen 3.3 unstable, qemu-dm supports Configuration Header, MSI Capability Structure, and MSI-X Capability Structure. But qemu-dm does not support PCI Express Capability Structure, Device Specific Registers, etc (writing them is ignored). To support various I/O devices, I

FC-HBA assigned to guest domain does not work.
I assigned FC-HBA to guest domain, but it did not work. FC-HBA seems to write its internal memory which is mapped to host memory space via pci transaction. But there is no mapping in IOMMU''s page table, so that page fault occurs in IOMMU. I think that MMIO resource mapped via p2m table should be mapped via IOMMU''s page table too. In other word, XEN_DOMCTL_memory_mapping

[PATCH] Improve the current FLR logic
Hi, all, The attached patches try to improve the current FLR logic. The idea is: removing the FLR logic from hypervisor and adding the improved logic in Control Panel. The current FLR logic in hypervisor has some issues: 1) Dstate transition is not guaranteed to properly clear the device state; 2) the current code for PCIe FLR is actually buggy: PCI_EXP_DEVSTA_TRPND doesn''t mean the

[PATCH] fix memory allocation from NUMA node for VT-d.
The memory relating guest domain should be allocated from NUMA node on which the guest runs. Because the latency of the same NUMA node is faster than that of a different one. This patch fixes memory allocation for Address Translation Structure of VT-d. VT-d uses two types of Structures for DMA address translation. The one is Device Assignment Structure. The other is Address Translation

[PATCH] dom0 linux: Reassign memory resources to device for pci passthrough.
This patch adds the function that reassign page-aligned memory resources, to dom0 linux. The function is useful when we assign I/O device to HVM domain using pci passthrough. When we assign a device to HVM domain using pci passthrough, the device needs to be assigned page-aligned memory resources. If the memory resource is not page-aligned, following error occurs. Error: pci: 0000:00:1d.7:

[PATCH] ioemu-remote&ioemu: fix libpci error handling.
This patch fixes libpci error handling. It can be applied to both ioemu-remote and ioemu. libpci returns ALL F when error occurs. Currently, if libpci returns ALL F, emulation stops. But it is possible that the field of real register which is read by guest software is ALL F. After applying this patch, if libpci returns ALL F, ioemu will log warning message and continue the emulation.

Megaraid SAS driver failing in Xen-3.3.0 but was working in Xen-3.2.2-rc3
On Xen-3.3.0, domain0 Megaraid SAS (SAS 1068 controller) driver is not loading correctly if vtd support in Xen is enabled. It fails at the point of initializing firmware. I wasn''t seeing this error with Xen-3.2.2-rc3 (Unstable version), though with vtd disabled in Xen-3.3.0, it is working. Looks like a degrade problem. Any clues? Thx, Venkat

GFX Passthrough
Hi List, many People seem to be interested in the Graphic-Card Passthrough Feature (for more or less obvious reasons). Official Support is still under development, and i hope not to interfere with it in any (bad) way ... But i remember my own painfull and timeconsuming research when i wanted this feature to work, so i thought perhaps this spares some time for the unpatient users like me :)

Weekly VMX status report. Xen: #18560 & Xen0: #682
Hi all, This is our weekly test report for Xen-unstable tree. No new issue found; P1 bug #1339 still blocks our save/restore related cases. Old Bugs: ===================================================================== 1. TSC not accurate in Windows HVM. http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1291 2. SMP 32e RHEL5.1 timer would be slow,if under working pressure.

VMX status report. Xen: #17270 & Xen0: #488 -- no new issue
Hi all, This is today''s nightly testing report; no new issue today. Most of case failures are due to bug #1183 and #1194 listed below. For bug #1194, the issue `Linux booting hangs with "hda: dma..." errors` got fixed on this c/s; but neither Windows nor Linux X can boot up with setting sdl=1 and opengl=1 if guest''s resolution is set as 800 * 600 or higher. Regression in SPEC2006/gcc caused by LoopLoadElimination
Hi Adam, I find LoopLoadElimination (r262250) causes SPEC2006/gcc generate wrong result (166.s) in AArch64 when running with *ref* data set. The error happens when I use either "-Ofast -flto -fuse-ld=gold" or "-O3 -fno-strict-aliasing". Please let me know if you need more information. Critical bug: VT-d fault causes disk corruption or Dom0 kernel panic.
All, We met several system failures on different hardware platforms, which are all caused by VT-d fault. err 1: disk is corrupted by VT-d fault on SATA. err 2: Dom0 kernel panics at booting, which is caused VT-d fault on UHCI. err 3, Dom0 complains disk errors while creating HVM guests. The culprit would be changeset 19054 "x86_64: Remove statically-partitioned Xen heap.". Detailed
