change inbox dotlock name
Hi,
Is there a configuration element that would allow me to change the
dot-lock name for the user's /var/mail inbox when it is locked? dovecot
(correctly) acquires <username>.lock, but I'm having a problem with
procmail where some obscure code path is preventing procmail's
acquisition of a lock when it's that default name in /var/mail.
The issue is not permissions

Digium acquires Switchvox
As you may have heard, Digium announced this morning that it's acquired Switchvox, a well known provider of Asterisk-based phone systems. Since several people have already asked me about the deal, I figured I'd let you all know my feelings on the matter. First of all, let me say that I personally think this is a great thing for all the parties involved. Obviously this gives Digium a

[LLVMdev] RFC: Native Windows C++ exception handling
Yes, it seems like WinEHPrepare should always be able to move landing pad code to somewhere appropriate. Even if there's some involved code to handle the cases that force #1, it's great that the complexity is contained in WinEHPrepare.
I'm still confused about the apparent lack of constraints after WinEHPrepare. Can we simply require/assume that WinEHPrepare be run after any passes

Determine how many documents a term occurs in
Is there a fast way to determine how many documents a term occurs in,
besides iterating through every document with TermDocEnum?

HowTo?: Eager caching of third order ActiveRecord assoc.
Hello.
Using the ":include", which generates a "LEFT OUTER JOIN" SQL command,
it is possible to eagerly preload second order data objects (children)
for a given association.
I wanted to know, if it is possible to eagerly preload and cache
third order (or more) data objects, which are little-children or
little-little-children. As I''ve seen. it is possible to add

First post-xenbus-change USB patch
Here''s the first snapshot of the USB code after updating to the new
xenbus.
The xenidc code provides a much higher level of abstraction than the new
xenbus code so the changes didn''t affect the usb driver much.
I had to put in empty frontend_changed and backend_changed functions
because the new xenbus code segfaults without them. The USB code
doesn''t need them because

Patch to tighten down the permissions and ownership in configuration.rb
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512
Attached is a patch which attempts to enforce ''proper'' permissions of
all files controlled directly by the puppet processes.
All owners and groups are explicitly set as are all permissions.
The idea is that the Puppet process configuration files should be
relatively tamper resistant and at least throw a warning that the

FFT, frequs, magnitudes, phases
Hi,
I'm in dire need of a fast fourier transformation for me stupid biologist,
i.e. I have a heartbeat signal and would like to decompose it into pure sin
waves, getting three vectors, one containing the frequencies of the sin
waves, one the magnitudes and one the phases (that's what I get from my data
acquisition software's FFT function).
I'd be very much obliged, if someone

Error at Pre-regalloc Machine LICM: "getVRegDef assumes a single definition or no definition"' failed.
Hello.
Does anybody have an idea why I'm getting the error below when using llc with
arguments -O1 -disable-cgp? Note that this error is not given when using llc -O0. (I'd
like to mention also I'm using custom Instruction selection for BUILD_VECTOR, which gets
converted in my back end's machine instrution VLOAD_D, although the custom code seems to
always select

[LLVMdev] RFC: Native Windows C++ exception handling
> We'd have to hoist a + b to somewhere that dominates L1 and L2. I think the only BB in your program that dominates is the entry block
I don't follow. What path do you see from entry to either L1 or L2 that doesn't pass through the indirectbr? In order to reach either L1 or L2, the call to maybe_throw() must raise an exception (else we'd return 0 from foo), the exception must

trouble hoisting GlobalValues
Hello LLVM,
To reduce the code-size cost of relocations, I'm trying to hoist
GlobalValues that are used many times. A new pass hides each hoisted
GV behind a BITCAST in the dominating BB. The pass then updates users
with the output of the BITCAST. This pass works properly AFAICT.
The problems come in instruction selection.
SelectionDAGBuilder::visitBitCast() treats the BITCAST as a no-op

RFC: Trace-based layout.
I plan on rewriting the block placement algorithm to proceed by traces.
A trace is a chain of blocks where each block in the chain may fall through
to
the successor in the chain.
The overall algorithm would be to first produce traces for a function, and
then
order those traces to try and get cache locality.
Currently block placement uses a greedy single step approach to layout. It
produces

Spill hoisting on RAL: looking for some debugging ideas
Hi,
I am debugging private backend and faced interesting problem:
sometimes spill hoisting creates double stores.
(some output from -debug-only=regalloc).
First hoisting:

Will there be a new release soon?
Hi,
Is there going to be a 1.5.1 release anytime soon? Seems like there have
been enough changes in SVN to warrant one and I prefer to use only
"released" code in production. It gives me warmer, fuzzier feelings than
using svn/trunk. :)

Dan

[LLVMdev] What's the Alias Analysis does clang use ?
Hi, LLVM community:
I found basicaa seems not to tell must-not-alias for __restrict__ arguments
in c/c++. It only compares two pointers and the underlying objects they
point to. I wonder how clang does alias analysis
for c/c++ keyword restrict.
let assume we compile the following code:
$cat myalias.cc
float foo(float * __restrict__ v0, float * __restrict__ v1, float *
__restrict__ v2, float *

[LLVMdev] RFC: Constant Hoisting
Hi Chris,
If you have everything setup to test, can you generate the LLVM IR with -03 from 3.4.1 and 3.5 to be sure they match. Then we can focus on the backend.
Thanks,
Mehdi

NUT for Windows + Eaton/PW 5110
Nut for Windows 2.6.3-3 + Eaton/PW 5110 (103004256-5591).
I had to manually install libusb driver and I'm using bcmxcp_usb.
upsd.exe is reporting to me "Out of memory". It will run, but once
anything connects to the daemon, it dies with that message.
I don't have much experience with NUT yet so I'm not sure what the next
course of action is. I do have NUT for Windows

UPS compatibility list
I wanted to suggest some rating for functionality. I got the UPS available
that seemed to have the best possible rating from NUT's list (Eaton Powerware
UPS 1500), and found out it doesn't support telling me battery level or
runtime! :/
