Hi,
I test pvgrub on xen-3.3.0. After starting pvgrub with "xm cr xmexample.pv-grub", I can see nothing but qemu window. With "xm li" , I can see this domain is running:

[PATCH 0/3] [FOR COMMENTS ONLY] Rework inspection.
This is something I've been working on: Reworking inspection so it's
not a big mess of ad hoc C code, but instead uses a well-defined
domain-specific language to describe how we inspect guests.
The best introduction to this is the manual page, which I include
below (it's also included in patch 2/3).

Xen over SuSE 10.3 - Can''t find drive to boot with...
Dear List-Colleagues:
I have been working on installing Xen on Suse 10.3 for some time now. I am green as grass - both a total newbie to Xen and a relative newbie to Linux (as well as a total newbie to SuSE).
Currently, I am at the point that when I click on the Xen entry in my grub loader I see Xen starting and running through much of its early setup. Eventually, however, it quits on

I need help rsyncing Local Disks
Recently I've found out about rsync and wanted to use this to mirror local
disks on one of my servers. I first ran Ghost for Linux to get the exact
clone I was looking for, and now I'm ready to setup rsync to keep my drives
mirrored on a continual basis. Here's my setup:
1 Seagate 4.6GB SCSI on /dev/sda, mounted like this:
/dev/sda1 ==> /boot - 101M
/dev/sda2 ==> swap - 269M

How to select a rootfs to test job test-amd64-amd64-xl on my own machine ?
Hi All
I try to test flight 12785 job test-amd64-amd64-xl on my own machine. I download kerndist.tar.gz , dist.tar.gz and xendist.tar.gz from logfiles generated by job build-amd64-pvops and build-amd64.
But there is no clue on how to get a root file system. So I try Ubuntu 11.10 as its rootfs, which is ext3 format. Unfortunately, it complains the <The disk drive for / is not ready yet or

Problems converting rootfs to ext3
Hi,
i am having problems converting the rootfs - I created a journal and booted
with "rw rootflags=journal=<inode>" - Before i changes the fstab and put
the WIP fsck to /sbin/fsck.ext3. The kernel seems to mount the filesystem
ok and then the bootup scripts (debian potato) try to fsck the rootfs
which leads to

Reg: Workaround to use pivot_root while using "rootfs" for "/" ?
Hi All,
I am trying to start a lxc container using libvirt and I am facing an
issue due to pivot_root.
The return code from the system call ?pivot_root? is EINVAL (Invalid
arguments).
I isolated the issue to this specific condition check within the system
call.
This is an code snippet from fs/namespace.c::pivot_root
* error = -EINVAL;

Lab manager for Xen
Hi,
[1]
I have spent time learning Xen, as compared to Vmware.
Is there an opensource tool for managing the various Xen domains both
locally and remotely ?
It can be commandline or GUI based.
VMware has a Lab Manager. I am looking for something similar (or
superior) for Xen too.
[2]
Redhat has the virt-manager. And allows us to connect the hypervisor to
local host and remote host.
How does that

Debootstrapping a rootfs for Xen on FastModels A15
Hi,
I''ve tried several different approaches to debootstrap a working
rootfs for with a Cortex A15 model ( FastModels ) and Xen but still
face some issues.
Some information on my setup.
For a Dom0 kernel I''m using the latest version from
git://github.com/torvalds/linux.git, I attached my config as it might
be of some use for others. I''m using the latest Xen unstable

xen 3.0 on UP amd64 - rootfs mounting problem in xenU
Hi,
I''m trying to run Xen 3.0 on my amd64 UP machine. So far xen0 is working fine
but there is a problem with mounting rootfs on xenU kernel.
Is there something else that needs to be compiled into xenU 3.0 kernel?
