Dumping Xen dom0 kernel output to serial console
Hi- I am having a weird problem with setting dom0 kernel output to the serial console with Xen 3.0.4-1, below is my grub setting. With this setting if I don''t enter the grub menu and have the default boot to the first image, everything works fine and I can get output/input to the serial console. The problem is when I enter the grub menu and select the image to boot from, if I

[LLVMdev] LLVM version with working Alpha backend
Hi Giang, Given that the community deprecated the Alpha backend, I'm doubtful anyone would be able to point you in the right direction. Have you iteratively tried the difference versions of LLVM (i.e., 2.9, 2.8, 2.7 on down the line)? [PATCH 1/7] v2v: check next free oem%d.inf in /Windows/Inf
It seems that checking for oem%d.inf in the DeviceIds registry entry doesn't always list all oemXX.inf files. For example we may have oem1.inf free in the registry key, but used in another one. Also extract this into a separate function for later use to setup another driver. --- v2v/windows_virtio.ml | 52 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++------------------------- 1 file changed, 27 insertions(+),

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc as Alpha cross compiler
Thanks Andrew. I would like to clarify what I tried to do. I want to use llvm-gcc on x86 linux to compile C programs into Alpha binary. [LLVMdev] What are the optimizations that gold uses during the final link stage?

The linker can select to do this when -save-temps is used on the command line. I think an example will explain. Lets say we have a function foo that is unused. The output of lto_codegen_write_merged_modules will have foo in it, but it will be

[LLVMdev] Proposal to add Bitcode version field to bitcode file wrapper
Sorry if I was unclear. There are currently no “known incompatibilities” that I am aware of, although I fully admit to not being an expert on the topic. The idea is that we add versioning information to the bitcode so that if an issue were discovered, it could be easily detected and dealt with. [LLVMdev] Problem with building llvm-gcc
Thank you, I did try that and got the following error: checking for library containing strerror... configure: error: Link tests are not allowed after GCC_NO_EXECUTABLES. make[1]: *** [configure-target-libiberty] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ghoang/llvm-test/llvm-gcc-2.8-build' make: *** [all] Error 2 I also tried adding --disable-libiberty but make would fail even earlier

[LLVMdev] What are the optimizations that gold uses during the final link stage?
Hi, I am using gold plugin with the option "-use-gold-plugin -Wl,-plugin-opt=also-emit-llvm" to compile apache. I objdumped the final executable httpd to httpd.S. I also compiled those per file bytecode into native code using the following: llc filename.o llvm-gcc -c filename.o.s -o filename.o.o Then I objdumped filename.o.o to filename.o.S and compared some functions between

LLVM.org/viewvc down?
Is there any eta for when viewvc will be back? I prefer to use viewvc because all of the commit emails have the SVN commit number, but not the corresponding git hashes, so it makes it easier to look it up. Or is there some easy way to map an svn commit number to the corresponding git hash? Douglas Yung From: Johan Engelen [mailto:jbc.engelen at gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, March 12, 2016 5:03 AM

LLVM.org/viewvc down?
Unfortunately, we had lot of bogus requests to viewvc (e.g. asking for history / blame for random revision) which looked like a DoS. Most probably we'll enable it after llvm.org will be migrated to new hardware.
