[PATCH] cpuidle: Fix for timer_deadline==0 case
cpuidle: Fix for timer_deadline==0 case After the scheduler timer became suspended before entering cpu idle state, the percpu timer_deadline is possible to be 0, i.e. no soft timer in the queue. This case will cause unexpected large residency percentage in C1 for the purely idle cpu. The fix is if timer_deadline == 0, skip most hpet broadcast enter logic because no broadcast is needed for this

[PATCH] Compiz Events
I wrote this quick patch because I want plugins to be able to communicate with each other with events. Using the option values to communicate with each other is a bit cumbersome if you want to monitor for changes or do anything which requires events. It is just a small patch and works in the compiz way (ie by wrapping the core event). Some potential events that I can think of at the moment are

[PATCH 0 of 4] Prune outdated/impossible preprocessor symbols, and update VIOAPIC emulation
Patch 1 removes CONFIG_SMP Patch 2 removes separate smp_{,r,w}mb()s as a result of patch 1 Patch 4 removes __ia64__ defines from the x86 arch tree Patch 3 is related to patch 4 and changes the VIOAPIC to emulate version 0x20 as a performance gain. It preceeds Patch 4 so as to be more clear about the functional change. Signed-off-by: Andrew Cooper <andrew.cooper3@citrix.com>

ReconRefFrames() - Possible Bug?
Hi All, I'm just debugging my current implementation of Theora, and while nothing is crashing I noticed the following bit of code in the ReconRefFrames() function: around line 1133 lib\dct_decode.c fn[0]=i-1; fn[1]=i-FragsAcross-1; fn[2]=i-FragsAcross; fn[3]=i-FragsAcross+1; /* fragment valid for prediction use if coded and it comes from same frame as the one we are

[xen-unstable] Commit 2ca9fbd739b8a72b16dd790d0fff7b75f5488fb8 AMD IOMMU: allocate IRTE entries instead of using a static mapping, makes dom0 boot process stall several times.
Hi Jan, After commit 2ca9fbd739b8a72b16dd790d0fff7b75f5488fb8 AMD IOMMU: allocate IRTE entries instead of using a static mapping, booting dom0 stalls several times. Sometimes this results in RCU stall warnings from the dom0 kernel, hitting the "any" key, on normal or serial console, makes the boot continue for a while but it stalls several times. (It also stalls on shutdown BTW) I have

Need help with fixing the Xen waitqueue feature
The patch ''mem_event: use wait queue when ring is full'' I just sent out makes use of the waitqueue feature. There are two issues I get with the change applied: I think I got the logic right, and in my testing vcpu->pause_count drops to zero in p2m_mem_paging_resume(). But for some reason the vcpu does not make progress after the first wakeup. In my debugging there is one

[patch 00/34] Xen-pv_ops: Xen guest implementation for paravirt_ops interface
Hi Andi, This patch series implements the Linux Xen guest as a paravirt_ops backend. The features in implemented this patch series are: * domU only * UP and SMP guest support (NEW!) * dynamic ticks (NEW!) * writable pagetables, with late pinning/early unpinning (no shadow pagetable support) * supports both PAE and non-PAE modes (non-PAE may be broken at the moment) * xen hvc console
