Best mail encryption solution for per-user
Hai, Do you have advice about Dovecot plugins for mail encryption: https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/MailCrypt https://0xacab.org/riseuplabs/trees I like NaCL based encryption but the MailCrypt plugin is better because it's maintained by Dovecot developers (is this correct?) Hard to understand MailCrypt docs so may I ask, may I provide per user encryption? I don't like global

mailbox encryption
Hello, I've got dovecot 2.3 going, and I've got a file 10-mailcrypt.conf which is loading mail_crypt, thinking that that plugin would propagate through all the services, sieve, lmtp, and mailbox message storage. I'm not seeing anything in the logs indicating that the encryption is happening. I am using a file format dbox specifically sdbox format, and in my mailbox I am seeing files

Permissions on the ssh-agent socket
Hello, this may be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyways because I was unable to get a satisfying answer somwhere else. So feel free to simply point out my stupidity, if the problem lies only there. The question: If I start an ssh-agent, it creates a socket (/tmp/ssh-*/agent.*), with the socket's and the directory's permissions set to 600. However, if I now connect to a remote

Using Dropbear for RTOS which is not POSIX complaint?
Hi, We have a proprietary RTOS which is *not* POSIX complaint. We want to port SSH server and SCP client onto our platform. How difficult it would be, to port Dropbear into our platform? We would like to integrate our CLI with the SSH. Any recommendations on using Dropbear for our platform? Appreciate sharing your experiences with Dropbear. --- Thanks, Mohan

Decryption method for Maildir messages stored by mail_crypt plugin
I've successfully implemented the mail_crypt plugin on v2.2.27 and it's working like a champ, but some of our administrative operations require access to Maildir messages in plaintext. I've found numerous threads detailing help with mail_crypt setup, but none of my research has yielded a method of decrypting the stored messages. Relevant plugin config: mail_crypt_curve =

mailbox encryption
Hello, Thanks, I think I have it. The message files the u5 and u6 files are showing up as data, and they sure look encrypted to me. One thing is there a way to get logging of output of the mail_crypt module? What I'm wanting to have if possible is a user gets a message, the logs show message being encrypted, then stored to disk? Thanks. Dave. On 6/17/19, Aki Tuomi <aki.tuomi at

Mailcrypt plugin private password
Hello there, is there a way to make the mailcrypt plugin use the user's password or at least store it in a hashed value? I'm using a passwd file for authentication. I feel uncomfortable saving the private password in plaintext in that file. Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

CentOS 3.1 kernel crashes
Greetings everyone, I've got a problem with my fileserver running CentOS 3.1. The kernel seems to crash about once a day (inevitably when I'm not present), forcing me to reboot. This behavior started after I applied the new kernel patch (2.4.21-15.0.3.EL.c0). I've left it on 2.4.21-15.0.2 for a little bit to see if it will crash tonight/tomorrow. As this may be a hardware

Mailcrypt plugin private password
Do I have to replace the "password" part with the actual password or can I just copy it like that? Will dovecot create the keypair automatically or do I have to use doveadm? 4. question about Mailcrypt plugin
Hi everybody, I have a question about the Dovecot Mailcrypt Plugin. I'm trying to understand what the security of this plugin is based on. The encryption with private and public key and elliptic curves is basically a good thing. But the keys are in the file system together with the encrypted mails. The passwords for the private keys are in the user database. I guess the passwords have to

wiki.centos.org .. what's next ?
it's all in the title : what's next for wiki.centos.org ? As a reminder, current wiki.centos.org instance is powered by moinmoin (https://moinmo.in/) but quite an old version (moin-1.5.8-3.el6.noarch) Recently I had a quick look at trying to update/upgrade that version to something newer/supported, but it's a nightmare : the data conversion just kill the target server (oom) and no
