http://www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/ dead?
Just wanted to try domU freebsd and found <http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:M_4r1b-RG- EJ:www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/5.3/xenbsdsetup.txt&hl=en&lr=&strip=1> but the webservice on www.fsmware.com seems to be down/unavailable. Any mirror? Or other working FreeBSD domU-kernels & images? Regards, /nils. _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing

booting FreeBSD DomU
Hi! May anyone assist me with booting FreeBSD DomU (under Debian Dom0). Now I''m using the kernel-current, downloaded from Kip Macy site at http://www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/7.0/download/ The problem is that I can''t specify _any_ root, the kernel can recognize: Mount point / had 1 dangling refs Manual root filesystem specification: <fstype>:<device> Mount

Resizing Freebsd mdroot domU, on a RHEL4 dom0 machine.
I''ve gotten freebsd 7.0 domU working using the files here: http://www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/7.0/downloads on a rhel4 system using xen-3.0.0-7.1_rhel4.1 rpms. but the root filesystem for freebsd is quite small: demo# df -h | grep / /dev/xbd1793a 496M 274M 182M 60% / I''m wanting to resize the mdroot filesystem, but am unsure how. I have no issues resizing ext*

FreeBSD + Xen 3.0
FreeBSD is now, with the notable exception of suspend, a stable functionally complete domU on xen 3.0. I am currently in the process of adding dom0 support. Suspend support will be turned on as soon as the xenbus + newbus integration work goes in. It is unclear how much sense it would make to post a sparse tree as this is all being done in -CURRENT (the development branch). However, as soon as

pdb missing files?
Hello, I''m trying to get PDB working in accordance with the instructions at http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~sos22/replay.bk/docs/misc/XenDebugger-HOWTO and a message from this list: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2004-08/msg00017.html When I try to build pdb I first get errors because the Makefile is configured to treat warnings as errors, and there are some warnings.

warnings when installing modules with latest from -unstable
I just cloned a xeno-unstable.bk tree ( < 30 minutes ago). autofs.ko didn''t get generated for some reason, so I did a separate make modules pass. Then I did a make modules_install from which I got a heap of unknown symbols warnings. I thought this might be fallout from the switch to 2.6.11. -Kip WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.11-xen0/kernel/fs/fat/fat.ko needs unknown symbol _spi

All works fine on my virtual hosts, except the network. The internal interface is created (have an ip address), the external bridge is ok, with the external vif1.0 for the virtual host, but `ping virtual_host_address` dont work. Ok, I try to put on vif1.0 an ip address. When I do an `ifconfig vif1.0 127.1.2.3` the network works fine, `ping virtual_host_address` works and all machines from my

RPM errors after moving /lib/tls to /lib/tls.disabled
Hello, I have been testing the latest unstable version of xen and noticed that after I move /lib/tls to /lib/tls.disabled I start receiving errors whenever I try to execute an rpm command (or yum commands - related to rpm). Just as an example here''s an error: rpm --import RPM-GPG-KEY rpmdb: unable to initialize mutex: Function not implemented rpmdb: /var/lib/rpm/__db.001: unable to

PSE in guests
Looking at the 2.0 code, it looks like the guest OSs are made to believe that PSE is not available. Is this a design choice? Has any work been done on supporting 4M pages in guest kernels?
