You can have multiple vethX interfaces on recent builds -- see netback/loopback.c.
I think the current default is a rather miserly 1 (and should be increased), but can be set on the command line.

Bug#550692: Script network-bridge in lenny may break network/firewall configuration
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 3.2.0-2
Hello
We used the script "network-bridge" on our Xen servers based on "etch" (xen-utils-common 3.0.3-0-2)
to setup bridge configuration. This script created a bridge "xenbr0", renamed "eth0" to "peth0",
renamed "veth0" to "eth0" and added "peth0" and "vif0.0" to

bridge with IP address, "received packet with own address as source address"
Hi,
I''ve set up identical (what I think) machines using SLES 10 x86_64, but a new one
of those is saying frequently in /var/log/messages:
kernel: bond0: received packet with own address as source address
A short summary of ifconfig looks like this:
bond0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:14:4F:2A:12:9C
inet addr:132.199.176.78 Bcast:132.199.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0

manually add domU vifN.0 to bridge ?
hi fellow XEN-users:
I have been trying hard to get this problem fixed, hope I can get some
help here. Thanks in advance for your time.
I have a typical dom0 + domU XEN setup. after I start xend and
network-bridge, I get the default network setup, ,

network-bridge fails to copy from eth0
I''ve just installed Xen on a new CentOS 5.1 system, and I can''t seem
to make xenbr0 connect to the network. This system has a single
physical network card. Apart from creating a few DomU guests, I have
not changed any of the configuration.
After running network-bridge, xenbr0 and friends are created, but the
address and routing info is not moved.

Weird DNAT + passive FTP bug
Hello,
I''m observing a weird bug with ip_nat_ftp in a somewhat more complicated
constellation. It''s possible that XEN is also involved in this, but I''m
not sure.
What I''m trying to do is have XEN guest domains on a host, connected via
a bridge into a private network. The the privileged domain attaches to
this private network and acts as a NAT router to connect

bridging and peth0
Hi,
If one sets xend to use network-bridge and there are no bridges
already present then it seems that xend will clone eth0 to peth0,
create xenbr0 and add peth0 and vif0.0 as ports on that bridge.
If on the other hand xenbr0 is created in /etc/network/interfaces
then xend will not do any of that peth0 stuff, nor will it add
vif0.0 to xenbr0, yet (barring some changes in iptables rules)
things

cannot enable sound on domU (centos5.1) and cannot change virbr0 bridge to xenbr0 bridge
Hi all,
my dom0 is centos5.2 and domU paravirtualized is centos5.1
I can play sound on dom0 but not in domU (name: gasphar), moreover I use
wifi as my inet connection and on installing domU cento5.1, I used
virt-manager.
I know that libvirtd made virbr0 and when changing to xenbr0, I cannot
connect to internet but ssh to dom0 is fine!
so how do I enable sound device on domU and changing to

network bridge empty
My very first xen DomU can not ping anything on my network. Well that is
not entirely true, it can ping itself. I did not touch any of the
scripts in /etc/xen so xen should be using bridging. My pc is running
xen-unstable and uses a 3Com PCI 3c905B
Just after the ''xen start'' on Dom0 brctl shows:
bash-3.00# brctl show xenbr0

network-bridge called three times
Hello All,
I'm trying to figure out why xen-utils-common 3.2 doesn't suport
bridging on multiple interfaces. I've been digging
around /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridges. And modified it so that during
boot, when executed the script writes into /tmp/netbr file, but I
commented out code that actually creates bridges.
I discovered that this script is called three times during boot, I
