[LLVMdev] How to print a list of used LLVM APIs in a given open source project?
Hi,
Assume there's an open source compiler implementation based on LLVM/Clang. What is the neatest way to print a list of LLVM APIs used in that open source project? Thanks.

Instantiating middleman and worker from inside a model?
In short: how (if possible) would i go about arranging it so that i
can instantiate a middleman and set a worker going from within a
method in one of my models? or is this a weird thing to be wanting to
do? (
My specific situation: I have an ''Image'' model in my application. An
actual image file associated with the model is being stored on
amazons s3 system.

OT: Good virtual server host with debian?
Hey all,
I''m casually shopping around for a host that will give me a virtual
server running Debian. It would host some of my rails projects and
probably some svn.
Does anyone know of a good host? Anecdotes about satisfaction would be
nice.
Thanks,
Bryan

[RFC] virtio: orphan skbs if we're relying on timer to free them
We check for finished xmit skbs on every xmit, or on a timer (unless
the host promises to force an interrupt when the xmit ring is empty).
This can penalize userspace tasks which fill their sockbuf. Not much
difference with TSO, but measurable with large numbers of packets.
There are a finite number of packets which can be in the transmission
queue. We could fire the timer more than every

Ok. Realize that this ties you to a specific compiler version though.

openLDAP under CentOS-6
I've been hard hit by the lack of CentOS-6 documentation
mentioned in another thread.
The openLDAP setup has been changed completely between CentOS 5 and 6,
and I haven't been able to find any reasonably coherent instructions
explaining how to upgrade.
If anyone knows of such a document I should be most grateful to learn of it.
Actually I have openLDAP working (though unencrypted) with my

Sorting by an attribute on a associated table
So, I have a User has_many :profiles. The most recently dated profile is
considered the current one. I need to sort these users by name, but the
name attribute is a member of the associated table.
Is there any easy way to do this other than with some ugly find_by_sql?
Maybe a more general question - is there a common solution to sorting in
Ruby?

Rails/Windows Guru Needed
Hey All,
I''ve just got back from a great meeting with a potential new client.
Everything was going so well - I knocked back their old-school project
plans, sold Rails to them in less than 5 minutes. All cool.
Then, 5 minutes before the end they say ''Oh and by the way - I know we
said we''re happy to host on any platform suitable, but there''s been a
change and

Sharing code between some controllers? Staying DRY
Hi,
I have four controllers: one for the store front and three for the
store admin. In each controller I have copied and pasted exactly the
same code. It is a method called redirect_to() to override Action
Controller''s redirect_to(). Copy and paste is bad. I can think of two
options but I don''t know how Rails will feel about them.
Option 1: Can I create an intermediate

[LLVMdev] Repository Layout
All,
I'm finding the current layout a bit frustrating, not to mention that it
breaks all the documentation. We currently have modules laid out like
this:
llvm/trunk/...
llvm/branches/...
llvm/tags/...
stacker/trunk/...
stacker/branches/...
stacker/tags/...
and similarly for all the other modules (test-suite, java, poolalloc,
etc.). Unfortunately, this "standard"

[LLVMdev] [lld] [mach-o]: RFC: representing LC_REEXPORT_DYLIB
Hi all,
I've been thinking about how best to represent MachO's
LC_REEXPORT_DYLIB (used even by libSystem.dylib to provide its various
sub-components[*]).
It looks like this functionality would naturally fall into the
InputGraph, in analogy with Groups and Archives. Unfortunately, it's
rather more dynamic than the existing cases: we don't know the needed
files before parsing the

Plugins: svn externals vs. local repository
...or, what is the best practise for ensuring that capistrano gets
plugin code to the production server? Do you hook up your plugins to
the originating repository (thereby automatically picking up changes
to the plugin), or check them into your application''s repo and use
"script/plugin update" to keep plugins fresh? Does that method mess
with your .svn directories?

how best to implement lookup table?
Hi all -
I''d like to implement a lookup table in my app that contains some
reference data, just some status codes and their descriptions. What''s
the most appropriate approach according to the "rails way" of doing
things? Would I just implement a has_many relationship? Let''s say
these are Order status codes, would the StatusCode have many Orders?

Customized theme for Syslinux.cfg
Thank you Gregory your code worked to remove the border in syslinux! It wasn?t the Alpha (that changes the opacity of the border color), but it was the ?shadowing? that had to be changed, so ?none? in the shadowing column worked(you notice the border come back if you change ?none? to ?std?) reference this link for terms: https://wiki.syslinux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Menu#MENU_COLOR !

Method in Model
I have a simple method in a model, to send out e-mails via the
script/runner.
def Reminder.dropoff
@messages = Reminder.find(:all, :conditions => [ "time < now()"])
@messages.each do |mes|
Mailman::deliver_send_message(mes)
end
end
However, it''s not sending e-mails.
When this exact code was dropped in a controller, it worked great... is
