afaik, the megaraid cards are mostly all SAS, which support SATA drives,
except very old ones were SCSI.
Ok, I do see they had a series of MegaRAID SATA 150-xx and 300-xx cards,
these were 64 bit PCI or PCI-X cards.
95Q9 does not appear to be a valid card number, 9240, 9260, 9280 are

What is the state of blktap2?
I''m currently working on moving storage services into their own domain
and I''ve been looking at blktap2. I''ve been trying to get an image
mounted with blktap2 and for some odd reason and tapdisk2 keeps hanging
instead of quitting at the end. I haven''t removed any of the storage
startup code at this point so everything should be as it normally is in
xen-unstable.

Syslinux 4.10-pre20
I think I finally have nailed down the problems with TFTP on the 4.10
branch, and so I have released 4.10-pre20.
Please let me know if you have hardware on which 4.05/4.06-pre3 works,
and 4.10-pre20 does not.

Centos 4.3 and Card Reader
CentOS 4.3 (fully updated, including CentOS Plus kernel).
Running KDE 3.5.2 (fully updated from redhat.kde repo).
I can't seem to get the OS to recognize my SD card when inserted into my USB
card reader. Mepis 6 Beta 3 has no problem with it. DMESG sees nothing
happening when the card is inserted. USB-STORAGE module is loaded.

Unable to pass device to IOMMU
Hello,
I''m hoping someone may be able to push us in the right direction. I''m trying
to get one of our products to work with the current branch of Xen
(4.0/4.0.0) but I''m hitting a problem.
We are currently using Xen 3.3.2 on a Sun Blade 600 chassis (with x6270
blades) this works great.
But when we upgrade to Xen 4.0/4.0.1 we get the following message when

CentOS 8 and DELL 7540 Intel AX200 WIFI
Hello all,
I recently bought a brand new Dell Precision 7540 laptop.? Before buying
I checked the specifications from the RedHat hardware list and they said
that it was "fully RedHat 8 Certified" and listed all the hardware that
was "certified" to work with that laptop.

RE: Xen-3.2.1 VT-d Support (NOT SURE WHETHER IT''S A BUG OR...)
Hello,
I''m also seeing this exact same problem. I''ve posted on xen-users, but did
not get an answer. Venkat seems to be experiencing the same problem as me. I
have the latest BIOS for my motherboard DQ35JO. (BIOS ver 933) I''m running a
Q6600 as well. It hangs at "Brought up 4 CPUs." I''ve tried all sorts of
combinations of Xen versions and kernels to

Megaraid SAS driver failing in Xen-3.3.0 but was working in Xen-3.2.2-rc3
On Xen-3.3.0, domain0 Megaraid SAS (SAS 1068 controller) driver is not loading correctly if vtd support in Xen is enabled.
It fails at the point of initializing firmware.
I wasn''t seeing this error with Xen-3.2.2-rc3 (Unstable version), though with vtd disabled in Xen-3.3.0, it is working.
Looks like a degrade problem.
Any clues?
Thx,
Venkat

PCI Passthrough using GART on AMD CPUs?
Hey everyone,
I realize that people asking about PCI passthrough has been thoroughly beaten to
death many a time, however I couldn''t find the answer to these questions
anywhere (and I''d really like to know :P) so please just bare with me.
I know the GART built into AMD chipsets can act as a "mini IOMMU" and do DMA
translation but not protection/isolation. However,

[VTD][PATCH] Change xc_assign_device()
Currently we assign devices with VT-d in Xend, this raises two issues:
1) assign devices regardless of they are hidden by pciback or not. If
the device is not hidden, it results in the device doesn''t work in Dom0;
2) device is assigned one by one, if assign multiple devices, some
devices may have been assigned when problem happens, it results in
assigned devices don''t work in

Hello,
I have been working sometime now on getting a HVM accepting a PCI card from
the host. As was said in the VT-D wiki I bought an ASUS P5E VM DO
motherboard (rel 0803) which has the VT-D option in the bios. I want to pass
a Hauppauge PVR 500 card to a virtual machine running LinuxMCE. After first
trying XEN 3.2.1 which did not enable the "VT-D virtualisation" bit in xm

PCI passthrough working on Xen 3!
Thanks to the kind person(s) who worked on this. I am using PCI
passthrough right now and it works. I hope support is added for VT
domains too; That would be extremely useful.
So far I have tried a NIC, USB, and PCI Video. The NIC works flawlessly.
USB works as long as the devices are present at the time the domain
is started. Hotplugging USB devices seems not to work. If I open

Upgrade to CentOS8
Hi Leon,
I don't have the infra (nor the knowledge or expertise) to create a LiveCD
I didn't think about Fedora. This is indeed a good pointer, I will
definitely try that
Actually, I'm not too worried about the basics, but rather about the wifi,
audio & video drivers (one of the boxes is a multimedia system)
Thanks!
