[PATCH] [RFC] More fp instructions for realmode emulation (Enables booting OS/2 as a HVM guest on Intel/VT hardware)
This patch adds a number of fp instructions needed for OS/2 to boot as a HVM
guest on Intel/VT hardware. It appears to work fine, and OS/2 is now finally
working on Intel/VT as well as AMD/SVM.
I''m a little concerned about the "correctness" of the FSTSW emulation and
the use of inline assembly directly using the corresponding ops for
emulation. Wrt FSTSW, it is really two ops

[PATCH] [HVM] Fix lmsw handling
The lmsw instruction can be used to set CR0_PE, but can never clear it, once
set. Currently, as far as I can see, there is no provision to keep lmsw from
clearing CR0_PE, either in the vmx code or in x86_emulate code (which is
used by SVM to emulate lmsw). This patch fixes this issue.

Will Xen support PCI add-on card for serial ports?
hi,
It looks that Xen currently only support ISA serial port, which is onboard.
Is there any plan to support the PCI serial port?
Thanks,
Neo

Multiple Serial Port Passthrough in HVM domU
So, I made a mistake a bought four systems with the Intel Core i3 processors, without doing my homework to make sure that these systems actually supported VTd. Turns out there''s plenty of information out there indicating that the Core i3 processors do *not* support VTd. I was counting on VTd for two applications: Graphics Passthrough and passing through a PCIe 4-port serial card. Of

Disabling cirrus-vga
Hi xen developers,
Does any of you know how to disable the cirrus-vga emulation for hvm in xen?
I have been trying to disable that from the source codes, but even with
that, I still see a VGA controller when I boot up my guest domain. In
particular, I would like to do this because I am passing through a graphics
card to my guest domain using direct pass through.
Thanks,

Ioemu (aka qemu) pci internals documentation
I''ve been going through the Ioemu internals (specifically the PCI subsystem), not finding any reference information, I''m documenting the interfaces I''m using. Is there any interest in adding this documentation (once complete), either as embedded documentation (as doxygen or other), or as Wiki content?
Thoughts/recommendations?

[PATCH RFC 0/8] xen/arm: initial cubieboard2 support.
See http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/devel/297170 for some
information on how to get this going.
I''ve rebased and addressed the review comments.
As before several of the patches are not to be applied because they can
be done better using infrastructure from Julien''s "Allow Xen to boot
with a raw Device Tree" patch. They are included for completeness.

sio => uart: one port is gone
This is a fairly standard and old machine with 2 COM ports.
Recently (last Friday) I decided to update my RELENG_7 system and also
to transition from sio to uart.
This what I had before the upgrade:

0x10 on acpi0
kernel: sio0: type 16550A

See http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/devel/297170 for some
information on how to get this going.
I''ve rebased and addressed the review comments.
With this rebase I''ve picked up some patches from Julien which were
required to do things properly, so the gic v7 and device blacklisting
patches have been changed to use the proper mechanisms.
Previously I was able to boot

[PATCH] ns16550: fix poll handling regression
Prior to c/s 23811:f1349a968a5a LSR_THRE was checked only once, while
there it got promoted into the surrounding loop''s condition. Since that
bit may not clear for an extended period of time (i.e. when no new
output is generated), it must not be used in this way indefinitely.

How do I configure additional serial ports?
I have installed two 4-port serial cards (http://www.startech.com/
Product/ItemDetail.aspx?productid=PCI4S550&c=US) on a CentOS 4.4
system. The hardware appears to be recognized correctly, as kudzu
added 2 entries to /etc/sysconfig/hwconf and lscpi shows both cards
(output of lspci -vv for both cards included at the end of this email):

[PATCH v8 8/5] Add UART support and arch timer initialization for OMAP5
Since OMAP UART has a few distinct features than common 8250 UART, I
re-implemented its driver rather than porting it based on ns16550.c.
There are mainly two big differences between the implementations. First,
OMAP UART introduces the concept of register access mode, which divides
the register map into seperated space. Switching the access mode is then
necessary when configuring it. Second, THRE

While i am able to access and use a plain SWX.RET object, I'm getting
confused on how to create an object with the array subscripts like above.
Here is what I tried to do. It doesn't work because "[" is obviously not an
operation or function on SWX.RET. So how do I

Centos 7 add-on serial cards
I'm upgrading from CentOS6 to CentOS 7.
I run 2 weather stations on C6 and have one of them attached to ttyS0
which is on the motherboard, and the other to ttyS2 which in on an
add-on PCI serial card.
I'm migrating the weather stations another host running C7 which has a
similar hardware configuration.? When I connect the weather station to
ttyS0 everything works fine, but when I try
