hvm_init_ap_contexts
Why is there an argument returned in the function below (of hvm.h), knowing that there is void? static inline void hvm_init_ap_context(struct vcpu_guest_context *ctxt, int vcpuid, int trampoline_vector) { return hvm_funcs.init_ap_context(ctxt, vcpuid, trampoline_vector); } _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com

[PATCH 1/6] xen: balloon: allow PVMMU interfaces to be compiled out
The ARM platform has no concept of PVMMU and therefor no HYPERVISOR_update_va_mapping et al. Allow this code to be compiled out when not required. In some similar situations (e.g. P2M) we have defined dummy functions to avoid this, however I think we can/should draw the line at dummying out actual hypercalls. [PATCH] GSoC 2010 - Memory hotplug support for Xen guests - second fully working version - once again
Hi, I am sending this e-mail once again because it probably has been lost in abyss of Xen-devel/LKLM list. Here is the second version of memory hotplug support for Xen guests patch. This one cleanly applies to git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.git repository, xen/memory-hotplug head. Changes: - /sys/devices/system/memory/probe interface has been removed;

[PATCH 0/3] xen: more portability patches
Hi Jeremy. Here are the 3 patches for ia64/xen support. The first one is just to move manage.c under drivers/xen. This is trivial. The second and third ones are for compilation fix on ia64. You may want to postpone those 2 patches to make your merge task easy as you said before. thanks, Diffstat arch/x86/xen/Makefile | 2 +- drivers/xen/Makefile | 2 +-

Kernel 2.2.18 to 2.2.25 as HVM on xen 3.0.3 freeze every 28s or less
Hi, For various bad reasons I must run a kernel 2.2.X and I tried to get it running on Xen 3.0.3. The virtual machine freeze every 28s (or less) for 1-3 secs which makes it unusable as demonstrated by: # while true; do date; sleep 1; done Thu Oct 26 18:03:36 PDT 2006 <missing> Thu Oct 26 18:03:38 PDT 2006 or # ping my-xen 64 bytes from 172.21.1.102: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=8.5 ms 64

[RFC 00/14] arm: implement ballooning and privcmd foreign mappings based on x86 PVH
This series implements ballooning for Xen on ARM and builds and Mukesh''s PVH privcmd stuff to implement foreign page mapping on ARM, replacing the old "HACK: initial (very hacky) XENMAPSPACE_gmfn_foreign" patch. The baseline is a bit complex, it is basically Stefano''s xenarm-forlinus branch (commit bbd6eb29214e) merged with Konrad''s linux-next-pvh branch

[PATCH] xen/balloon: don't alloc page while non-preemptible
From: David Vrabel <david.vrabel@citrix.com> get_balloon_scratch_page() disables preemption so we cannot call alloc_page() in between get/put_balloon_scratch_page(). Shuffle bits around in decrease_reservation() to avoid this. [PATCH] Arch-neutral balloon driver
Attached patch makes the balloon driver arch-neutral (compiles on ia64... look ma, no #ifdef''s!). Please apply to xen-unstable. One change should be eyeballed, line 257 in balloon.c, because phys_to_machine_mapping[pfn] is not identical to pfn_to_mfn (different by sign bit, should be OK?) HA Xen cluster live migration
Hello, We have successfully implemented a 2-node HA Xen cluster with DRBD, LVM and heartbeat, that can do live migration. I wrote up some details here: http://te.to/~ts1/xen_cluster.html I''d like to say thank you to all the people writing these great software. -- Takeshi _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

[PATCH] xen/arm: Allow balooning working with 1:1 memory mapping
With the lake of iommu, dom0 must have a 1:1 memory mapping for all these guest physical address. When the ballon decides to give back a page to the kernel, this page must have the same address as previously. Otherwise, we will loose the 1:1 mapping and will break DMA-capable device. PATCH: Hugepage support for Domains booting with 4KB pages
We have implemented hugepage support for guests in following manner In our implementation we added a parameter hugepage_num which is specified in the config file of the DomU. It is the number of hugepages that the guest is guaranteed to receive whenever the kernel asks for hugepage by using its boot time parameter or reserving after booting (eg. Using echo XX > /proc/sys/vm/nr_hugepages).

[PATCH 5/6] xen, tools: calculate nr_cpus via num_online_cpus
Once Xen calculates nr_nodes properly, all nr_cpu calculations based on nr_nodes * sockets_per_node * cores_per_socket * threads_per_core are broken. The easy fix is to replace those calculations with a new field, nr_cpus in physinfo which is calculated by num_online_cpus(). This patch does so and attempts to change all users over to nr_cpus field in physinfo. This patch touches
