[PATCH] staging: hv: Enable sending GARP packet after live migration
The hv_netvsc gets RNDIS_STATUS_MEDIA_CONNECT event after the VM is live migrated. Adding call to netif_notify_peers() for this event to send GARP (Gratuitous ARP) to notify network peers. Otherwise, the VM's network connection may stop after a live migration. This patch should also be applied to stable kernel 2.6.32 and later. Signed-off-by: Haiyang Zhang <haiyangz at microsoft.com>

RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] [IPF] Xen3.0.3 RC3 can not create VTI_domain
This issue only happened on creating VTI domain in IPF platform. Creating IA32 or IA32E VMX domain is okay. RE: live migration with xen 2.0.7 with fibre channel onDebian - help needed
I had this exact same problem with 2.0.7. I had done a little investigation and found scheduled_work gets called to schedule the shutdown in the user domain kernel, but the shutdown work that gets scheduled never actually gets called. I''m glad someone else is seeing this same problem now :-) Like you, it worked a number of times in a row, then would fail, and it didn''t seem to

swiotlb causing panics on 8gig ia32e systems running Centos 3.4 x86_64
Hi All, I have several ia32e systems with 8 gig that panic on install and first boot. The panic is arch/x86_64/swiotlb.c (working from memory so I might be a bit off) and its in the routine that I think is trying to allocate another chunk of memory for the "Software I/O Translation Buffer". I am guessing it needs to allocate contiguous chunks of memory and that is why it fails on the

[PATCH] staging: hv: Fix GARP not sent after Quick Migration
After Quick Migration, the network is not immediately operational in the current context when receiving RNDIS_STATUS_MEDIA_CONNECT event. So, I put the netif_notify_peers() into a scheduled work, otherwise GARP packet will not be sent after quick migration, and cause network disconnection. Thanks to Mike Surcouf <mike at surcouf.co.uk> for reporting the bug and testing the patch. This

call for testers CentOS 3 x86_64 EM64T (aka ia32e)
Hi, A new version (2.0.8-2.centos) for yum has been pushed to the mirrors for testing before going into the main tree. This release only includes a small fix for EM64T machines running the x86_64 version of CentOS 3: the ia32e architecture is now recognized for yum as an compatible architecture name. The only CentOS ia32e.rpm are the kernel and kernel-unsupported rpms. No one has reported the
