[PATCH 2/6] xen: add per-node bucks to page allocator
This patch adds a per-node bucket to the heap structure in Xen. During heap initialization the patch determines which bucket to place the memory. We reserve guard pages between node boundaries in the case that said boundary isn''t already guarded by the MAX_ORDER boundary to prevent the buddy allocator from merging pages between nodes. -- Ryan Harper Software Engineer; Linux Technology

[patch] bitops on irq_cpustat_t->__softirq_pending
As mentioned earlier, PowerPC''s atomic ops operate on longs, and we have made our *_bit() prototypes use long* (instead of void*) to warn us of problems at compile time. Here''s one caller that was flagged: test_and_set_bit(nr, &softirq_pending(cpu)) Accordingly, we need __softirq_pending to be long, not int. PowerPC is currently using a few files unmodified from the x86

[patch] define and use cpu_test_and_clear() and some type checking fixes
This patch defines a test_and_clear bitop for cpumask_t pointers. Also fixes "wrong pointer type" for type specific bitops by using &foo [0] instead of &foo. alloc_heap_pages is low efficient with more CPUs
I am confused with a problem: I have a blade with 64 physical CPUs and 64G physical RAM, and defined only one VM with 1 CPU and 40G RAM. For the first time I started the VM, it just took 3s, But for the second starting it took 30s. After studied it by printing log, I have located a place in the hypervisor where cost too much time, occupied 98% of the whole starting time. xen/common/page_alloc.c

[RFC/PATCH v4] XENMEM_claim_pages (subop of existing) hypercall
This is a fourth cut of the hypervisor patch of the proposed XENMEM_claim_pages hypercall/subop, taking into account feedback from Jan and Keir and IanC, plus some fixes found via runtime debugging (using privcmd only) and some added comments/cleanup. [Logistical note: I will be out tomorrow (Friday) plus US holidays next week so my responsiveness to comments may be slower for awhile. --djm]

[Patch v2] xen/tmem: Fix uses of unmatched __map_domain_page()
__map_domain_page() *must* be matched with an unmap_domain_page(). These five static inline functions each map a page (or two), then throw away the context needed to unmap it. Each of the changes are limited to their respective functions. In two cases, this involved replacing a large amount of pointer arithmetic with memcpy() (all callers were relying on memcpy() semantics of positive/negative

[PATCH] Paravirt framebuffer use xvc as console [4/5]
This is the patch from Amos Waterland for the xenconsole to use /dev/xvc0 instead of taking over ttys. I''ve fixed a few places which needed to check for XVC mode in addition to serial mode. Also, until LANANA responds with an official minor, I''ve adjusted it to use char 250/187 (in the experimental range) as opposed to 204/187. (Should be identical to this patch from last
