Another MPT issue - kernel crash
Hi all, I have faced yet another kernel panic that seems to be related to mpt driver. This time i was trying to add a new disk to a running system (snv_134) and this new disk was not being detected...following a tip i ran the lsitool to reset the bus and this lead to a system panic. MPT driver : BAD TRAP: type=e (#pf Page fault) rp=ffffff001fc98020 addr=4 occurred in module "mpt" due

decrease_reservation() frame still in MPT for non-xlate. Bug?
Hi guys, Looks like the MPT entry still has the pfn after PV dom0 call to decrease_reservation(). Not sure if this is a major bug, but confusing for debugging. For HVM guests, the MPT seems invalidated as side effect of invalidating the p2m. Btw, this in xen 4.1.3-rc1. Thanks, Mukesh

New package: mpt
Dear all, I have submitted a new package called mpt to CRAN. It contains functions for fitting and testing multinomial processing tree (MPT) models, a class of statistical models for categorical data that involve latent parameters. These parameters are often interpreted as psychological processing variables. An introduction to these models is: Riefer, D.M., & Batchelder, W.H. (1988).

[PATCH 1/5] Add pagetable allocation notifiers
Hooks are provided for the mach-XXX subarchitecture at the time prior to a page being used as a page table at all levels, for PAE and non-PAE kernels. Note that in PAE mode, multiple PDP roots may exist on the same page with other data, so the root must be shadowed instead. This is not a performance issue, since PAE only uses 4 top level PDPEs. The hooks are: SetPagePTE(ppn) - indicates that a

WD caviar/mpt issues
I know that this has been well-discussed already, but it''s been a few months - WD caviars with mpt/mpt_sas generating lots of retryable read errors, spitting out lots of beloved " Log info 31080000 received for target" messages, and just generally not working right. (SM 836EL1 and 836TQ chassis - though I have several variations on theme depending on date of purchase: 836EL2s,

[PATCH] move e820 ACPI entries into RAM
move e820 ACPI entries into RAM. ACPI RAM maybe used as RAM after ACPI data is parsed, but current e820 entries don''t comply to this. Poweredge 2850 with LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53c1030 PCI-X Fusion-MPT Dual Ultra320 SCSI
Did anyone manage to have xen (3.0.1 stable) run on this config? (this is on FC4 if it matters). I''ve tried recompiling the xen0 kernel with the Fusion options from my current kernel added, but it keeps removing some of them (maybe some that didn''t exist yet in kernel 2.6.12), and it seems I end up without the correct driver. If someone has this running, I''d be

7.1, mpt and slow writes
Hello, I think this needs a few more eyes: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-scsi/2009-January/003782.html In short, writes are slow, likely do to the write-cache being enabled on the controller. The sysctl used in 6.x to turn the cache off don't seem to be in 7.x. Thanks, Charles ___ Charles Sprickman NetEng/SysAdmin Bway.net - New York's Best Internet - www.bway.net
