[PATCH - proposed] XI Shadow Page Table Mechanism]
Hi, Robert, I found out another confusing code snippet: in void xi_invl_mfn(struct domain *d, unsigned long mfn) if (ext && pfn < ext->large_page_aligned_size) According to the code, it should be if (ext && (pfn>>SPT_ENTRIES_ORDER) < ext->large_page_aligned_size) If I made any mistake, please point it out.

[RFC/PATCH 03/15] preparation: address of the 64bit extint parm in lowcore
From: Christian Borntraeger <borntraeger at de.ibm.com> The address 0x11b8 is used by z/VM for pfault and diag 250 I/O to provide a 64 bit extint parameter. virtio uses the same address, so its time to update the lowcore structure. Page fault is 4 times faster with XI shadow mechanism
Hello Han, I am pleased you approve of the design and implementation of the XI shadow mechanism. And I appreciate the time and care you''ve taken in reviewing this substantial body of new code. You asked about performance statistics. With the current XI patch, we are seeing the following: - page faults times for XI are about 4 times faster than non-XI: 10.56 (non-XI) vs 2.43

X86_64 "assert" when booting 64-bit image.
I can boot a 64-bit HVM image on my SVM-system, and it goes quite a long way before it crashes (due to not finding the hard-disk image and thus no root FS - which I think may well be the configuration file). But if I set debug=y in the Rules.mk, I don''t get very far at all - it crashes well before it gets to any user-mode (Ring3) - in fact, I think it''s crashing pretty much as

changing cex pointwise in lattice
Dear R-users, I have tried, and I imagine it should be somewhere in the lines of passing extra arguments to the panel function, but does anyone know how to change the character expansion factor that is affecting an individual point in each of the panels of a lattice plot? I have tried to pass an overall cex argument containing the desired size for each point, but then the sizes are reused for the

Final Fantasy XI occasionally freezes
Hi I have problem with FFXI since after the last nvidia/xorg/wine updates, the game occasionally freezes during gameplay. Sometimes it comes back but the most times it freezes for good and i must kill it to restart. I believe its the nvidia 195.x.x driver series and/or xorg 1.7.x because it worked just fine with 190.x and older xorg. I talked to a workmate who also plays the game on linux and the

Installing Final Fantasy XI on Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix
Hello Wine Forum Members, This is my first post and I am looking forward to many more. My first initial question is: Is it possible to run FFXI on Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix? I've seen some earlier posts about running FFXI on 10.04, but I haven't found anything where someone would be trying on something much smaller. I am new with ubuntu and Wine. So if this is possible is there some kind

Re: Problems with Final Fantasy XI Online - Japanese
Resurrecting this old thread after more than a year in the hope that maybe someone will have some kind of idea or suggestion... I'm now using wine-1.4-rc1, and still am unable to get past the FFXI character selection screen. I still cannot install the Altana expansion DVD yet either. Unfortunately borrowing the English version to test is not possible for me, as I live in Japan. Buying it

[OT] xi.rename-it.nl dovecot-2.2 stable-auto
Hi there, I check my mail-server for debian package-upgrades with Nagios, so everyday I got a mail for 8 "new" dovecot-packages on this server. I think that wasn't so in 2.1 stable-auto, but I'm not sure about that. Maybe someone who uses the 2.1 stable-auto repo could response to this? But 2.2 released only few days ago, maybe the repo-admin hadn't time to change this,

Xi autobuilds restored
Hi, Xi had problems for more than a month now. I finally managed to access it yesterday, but it was a bit more broken than I anticipated. I had to re-install the whole system. It should now work as before. It is now Debian stable/amd64, so that is now also the master release, which is always built first. Regards, Stephan.

Since we could not upgrade XenServer any time soon, we reverted the build systems back to Debian wheezy (oldstable) by re-installing them from scratch. It should all work as normal, with
