Porting Xen...
All-
I''m wondering if there is a guide or a general Getting Started for porting
Xen to different architectures. I''m interested in supporting the arm
platform.
Any help or direction is greatly appreciated...
Thanks!

More on Linux on the OQO
I am going over: ftp://ftp.oqo.com/unsupported/linux/OQOLinux.html
This is for the 'older' model 1, I have the model 2. The files are 18
mo old, and relate to kernel 2.6.10. Of course I want to avoid a custom
kernel, but please help me understand what is being covered here:
"2. Enable crusoe processor in kernel .config
CONFIG_MCRUSOE=y"
What is the crusoe processor?

What ever happened to the dkms atheros drivers/
My OQO boxes have the AR5413 wifi chipset, so for the first time in
quite a while, I again need to run madwifi. So I went looking for the
dkms madwifi rpms, but could not find them. They use to be on rpmforge,
as I recall. dkms is there.
So have I lost some memory cells or have these rpms taken a hike?

I have a test system that hangs hard...
I have a test system: Centos 5.2 on an OQO, that has been hanging
hard. I have to unplug it and pull the battery so I can then cold start it.
This last time all I did was open a terminal window and SU to root, then
start the lastest build of SIP Communicator (which uses JRE 1.6.0_10).
I was not even making a test phone call at the time. Oh, and the system
only runs IPv6, no v4 addressing.

cpufreq and suspend
With my OQO, I get the following message when I try to suspend:
cpufreq: suspend failed to assert current frequency is what timing core
thinks it is.
I see in /var/log/messages:
kernel: acpi-cpufreq: CPU0 - ACPI performance management activated
There are a number of apps and such dedicated to 'cpufreq' on the system.
I have done a bit of searching and have not figured out what to do

cpuinfo flags change under 3.2-testing?
Hi,
I''m building Xen on a 64bit machine, then using the xen.gz from that
on a 32bit host (so that it can boot 64bit guests). This works fine.
However I note that after booting xen.gz from 3.2-testing
/proc/cpuinfo has different flags. 3.2.1 is the same. I have not yet
tried 3.3.x.
3.2.0 results in:
flags : fpu de tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr mca cmov
pat pse36 clflush

Install via VNC
This sounds very interesting:
http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/VncHeadlessInstall
It would get me around my limitations on the screen on the OQO. And the
instructions read rather well.
Only thing I don't know how to do is have vncviewer in 'listen' mode.

Centos on the OQO Mod 2
I may be getting a couple of these for traveling servers (smaller than a
PICO-ITX system!).
Info is available for putting Ubuntu on it (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OQO), but what about Centos? Any help out
there?

Bad FADT and timer going backwards
Hello!
I am encountering a problem with one of the machines I am using and the
timer going backwards. It looks like the problem is due to to a bad
PM-Timer entry being found. Though when debugging further, the real source
of the problem stems from an ACPI table of type DSDT being parsed as an
FADT during boot and certainly a bogus PM-Timer is found there.
Here''s the output from

How to ensure deletes cascade to associated models?
I have the following models:
class Resume
belongs_to :resume_assignments

class User
belongs_to :resume_assignments
end
class ResumeAssignment
has_one :resume
has_one :user
end
When I delete a resume, I want to make sure that its associated
ResumeAssignment gets deleted also. Calling destroy_all to delete
some resumes doesn''t seem to do this. Is there an option that will

New rpm, same name, how to update
I have to build my own rpms for the HIPL project. I update my copy of
the code and make rpm.
Thing is the rpm name never changes from patch to patch.
Is there a way to have yum apply the new code as an update and not have
to erase then install?

failed autoexecutable msi installer
Hi all,
I'm trying to install a piece of software that seems to be an
autoexecutable MSI installer (if that's the correct term). When I run it
a small 'Setup' window pops up for about 30 seconds but the content
never gets painted. Then the installer quits and I get the msiexec usage
message.
The installer runs OK on native Windows and the previous version of the
same software

Validation without ActiveRecord
Hello, I followed the instructions at
http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/show/HowToUseValidationsWithoutExtendingActiveRecord
But now I''m having trouble trying to create my form view. Here''s a
brief rundown of what I''ve done:
- Created a class called SearchRequest that extends ValidatingBase and
saved it in a file called search_request.rb and put it in my models
