Dom0 eth0 has different MAC address than expected, ignoring
Hi, I''m a newbie to Xen and I need some help. I saw user ''datto'' had a similar problem but changed to FC4 to resolve it. I''m currently running FC3 and Xen2.0.7. I did the usual ''make install'' and I can boot into Xen dom0. However, my network card is not working. The driver is found in the linux-2.6.11.12-xen0 tree but not selected. I

Help in getting aggregated data
Hi team, I have the data of the form: > a<- data.frame(x=c(1,2,1,4,3), y=c(1,2,1,4,3), z=c(1,2,3,4,5)) I need the output of the form > b<- data.frame(x=c(1,2,3,4), y=c(1,2,3,4), z=(3,2,5,4) ) As you can see, the Z value contains the maximum for each of the (x,y) combinations. I used > c<-by(a$z, list(x=a$x, y=a$y), max) > c[,] y x 1 2 3 4 1 3 NA NA NA 2

ext4?
Listee's... I have a 5.5 box and I have formatted a partition as ext4 however I can't mount it, the mount command is telling me its an unknown file system type. fsck tells me the partition is a clean ext4 partition but I can't mount it. Some reasearch has lead me to believe the problem is that ext4 isn't enabled in the kernel by default in 5.5 (this was originally a 5.2 box that

PVGrub can''t find config file for domU on logical volume
After hours of googling and not really finding a definitive solution to my problem, I''m a little stuck and would really appreciate some help from others. I have a CentOS 5.4 x86-64 server running Xen 3.3 from the gitco repos as dom0. On this I have created two logical volumes comprising 8GB for the system disk (xvda) and 1.5GB for swap (xvdb). I ran mkfs.ext3 and mkswap on these to

No video display, SuSE kernel-xen-2.6.11.4-21.7
Hi all This is a strange one. On upgraging to SuSE kernel-2.6.11.4-21.7, I have suddenly found that I loose the video on boot up! The video disappears very early in boot, possibly while Xen hypervisor is starting, printing out the physical memory map. If you are patient and wait for the machine to reach run level 5, the X server starts up and you get a picture back. You can then switch back and

CentOS 5 grub boot problem
I never thought I'd say this, but I think it's easier to do this with GRUB 2. Anyway I did an installation to raid1's in CentOS 6's installer, which still uses GRUB legacy. I tested removing each of the two devices and it still boots. These are the commands in its log: : Running... ['/sbin/grub-install', '--just-copy'] : Running... ['/sbin/grub',

Dell 1950 Perc 6/i with centos 4.5
We are currently running CentOS 4.5 on older Dell Systems. We are upgrading to Dell PowerEdge 1950 with a PERC 6/i raid controller. CentOS 4.5 installation does not see the PERC 6/i controller. Dell and LSI Logic only support RHEL 4U6 and higher and SuSe. I've tried building the boot images with the new driver for installation but kickstart still doesn't see the raid controller.

Installing CentOS 6.2 *TO* a USB drive, not installing from USB.
I'm trying to setup a very small system intended for doing monitoring/logging. It's done on an Intel Atoms in a small box and the idea was to simply run it off a pair of USB flash drives in software RAID 1. Now the problem is that while the 6.2 DVD installer could go through the entire install process, grub will load then just stop at the prompt. The system will work if I use a SATA hard
