[PATCH] Paravirt framebuffer use xvc as console [4/5]
This is the patch from Amos Waterland for the xenconsole to
use /dev/xvc0 instead of taking over ttys. I''ve fixed a few places
which needed to check for XVC mode in addition to serial mode. Also,
until LANANA responds with an official minor, I''ve adjusted it to use
char 250/187 (in the experimental range) as opposed to 204/187.
(Should be identical to this patch from last

[PATCH] linux-2.6.18/xencons: generalize use of add_preferred_console()
Changeset 762:a070228ac76e ("add hvc compatibility mode to xencons"
added this call just for the HVC case, without giving any reason why
HVC would be special in this regard. Use the call for all cases.

[LLVMdev] Building for a specific target, corei7
Hi Varun,
I see the point of your question, but I'm not the best person to answer from that perspective.
Nadav Rotem is the owner of the x86 backend, and he can probably give you a more complete answer than I could.
Thanks,
Andy

[LLVMdev] Building for a specific target, corei7
Hi Andrew,
I think I diluted my question. My question was not related to MCJIT.
I ran the following 4 scenarios:
(1)gcc -mcpu=corei7 tetris.c -o tetris
(2)gcc -mcpu=athlon64 tetris.c -o tetris
(3)clang -march=corei7 tetris.c -o tetris
(4)clang -march=athlon64 tetris.c -o tetris
In (1) and (2), I see difference in order of instructions in the output binaries, which I expected because every CPU

[PATCH] BUG on error handlings in Ext3 under I/O failure condition
Hello.
I found bugs on error handlings in the functions arround the ext3 file
system, which cause inadequate completions of synchronous write I/O operations
when disk I/O failures occur. Both 2.4 and 2.6 have this problem.
I carried out following experiment:
1. Mount a ext3 file system on a SCSI disk with ordered mode.
2. Open a file on the file system with O_SYNC|O_RDWR|O_TRUNC|O_CREAT

Bug#687319: xcp-storage-managers: CDROM VDIs don't hotplug in guests because ISO SRs are misconfigured
Package: xcp-storage-managers
Version: 0.1.1-2ubuntu1
Severity: normal
This bug prevents CDROM VDIs from being hotplugged into guest
VMs. The issue is that the NFS ISO SR configures the ISO VDIs to
be 'file' types, which it should configure them to by 'phy'
types. This breaks on Debian's Xen because the Debian hotplug
scripts are more robuse than the ones on XenServer, and

[Bridge] [PATCH] (9/11) bridge -- new ioctl interface for 32/64 compatiablity
Add four new ioctl's for the operations that can't be done through sysfs.
The existing bridge ioctl's are multiplexed, and most go through SIOCDEVPRIVATE
so they won't work in a mixed 32/64bit environment.
The new release of bridge-utils will use these if possible, and fall
back to the old interface.

[PATCH] library functions
Hi,
Here are some new library functions for klibc. Some of them are
required for udev, which currently has a klibc_fixups.c file that
implements these functions.

[PATCH 2.5.69 3/3] Bandaids for gen_init_cpio and initramfs
Last patch for now. This gets gen_init_cpio into a state where it can
pick up a "kinit" binary from usr and stuff it into the cpio archive as
/sbin/init. This is obviously a crock, but it suffices for testing
until something sane is done about integrating klibc into the kernel
tree.
The patch also adds a bit of instrumentation to initramfs.c, to try to
help flush out bug 740.

[Bridge] [PATCH 2.4] bridge - eliminate br_ioctl_mutex
The bridge code doesn't need a separate ioctl, mutex it can just
use the existing RTNL mechanism. This avoids some races and deadlocks
on shutdown.
This is for 2.4; a similar mechanism has been in 2.6 for some time.

[PATCH] Fix busy-looping behaviour in ipconfig
The ipconfig code does not drop incoming packets that it can't handle.
Since the packet socket sends ipconfig its own broadcast requests,
ipconfig has the unfortunate behaviour of eating 100% of the CPU time
when it does not receive an immediate response to its outgoing requests.
This patch fixes the problem, by ensuring that packets are dropped if
they are not handled. It also introduces a
