Driver dpt_i2o
Hi!
I''m trying to install XEN on my test machine because running
it on cdrom was too slow.
Well, that test machine is a dual P4 with hyperthreading,
2GB of RAM and scsi controller dpti2o.
I read the Xeno-1.2-HOWTO.txt, and compile xenolinux without
problem, but xen appears to not support dpti2o.
Am I missing something here?
Another question, when the machine is at grub menu,
we can

dpt_i2o almost there
Hi all!
I''m using make world as recommeded and it compiles fine, then
changed the dpti2o config option to ''y'' and recompiled with
ARCH=xen make.
The xen0 freeze on reading dpti2o tables and I can''t get any
output with sysrq (enabled too). Compiling original 2.6.7
works fine.
Any idea?
Thanks!

no scsi in 2.6.7-xenU?
There is no CONFIG_SCSI to enable in xenU. Is there any reason for this? I want to try out iSCSI and obviously it needs scsi support. Or would I be better doing it in dom0 and exporting it?
thanks

memory and cpu usage
Is there a way to discovery how much free memory I still have
to use in a new domain?
Another question is about cpu usage. I guess that xen scheduler
allocate a fixed time slice for all virtual machines and does not
make any idea if the virtual machine is using or not using all
this time, right? How I can identify if CPU is the bottleneck?
Thanks!

Problems booting 2.6.7 Dom0 with 3ware Controllers
I tried to install and boot a 2.6.7 Dom0 xenLinux Kernel on an
SMP (Dual-Xeon) Machine with 2 3-ware Controllers installed
(1 4-channel Controler and 1 8-channel Controler, both Parallel ATA)
and no other HDs present (except the ones connected to the
3ware controlers, of course).
First of all I got a compilation error after activating the SMP option
in the kernel config.

CORRUPTION: /lib/tls corruption with ELF prelinking
The current /lib/tls support in Xen/Linux through rewriting faulting
instructions seems to work well, but for one rather nasty issue.
If you are running with /lib/tls on a system that also uses prelinking
(you can check this by looking for e.g., /etc/cron.daily/prelink) then
you''re /lib/tls libraries will get corrupted!
The problem is that the prelinking changes cause some of the binary

y-axis number format on plot, barplot etc.
I am trying to change the number format shown on the y-axis from scientific
5e05, to 500,000 etc. Does anyone know how to do this?
Is there something I can add as an argument to barplot, or would it be
through par?
barplot(data$Value, names.arg = as.vector(data$Field), main=strTitle)

SOHO colour laser printer recommendations
Hi List,
I'd really appreciate some recommendations for colour laser printers for
use with CentOS. It's for light home use with CentOS 5 and CentOS 6 systems.
Must have:
1. Colour. Quality not that important as mainly for kids school project
type of stuff.
2. Ethernet connectivity - want something I can plug into the network
3. Cheap running costs - don't want to be spending a

Question :: groundstart and loopstart
Hello Astrites,
I was just about to send out a long email about not being able to detect hang-up with my CAC II FXO module on my PSTN POTS lines. I had tried many configurations. I had attached a toner to the line to see if I was getting this "disconnect supervision" signal after hang-up. (toner has a line powered light in the off position) It seemed that I was getting the signal,

Printer Passwords and Print Auditing
Hello to all you folks,
I've got TWO questions.
1) I've been trying to password the use of my two laser printers so that
printing has to be assisted by my computer attendant (we are losing too much
paper and toner to people clicking print five to ten times). But, I have
not figured out how to force passwords on my samba printer (HP LJ1200
running under cupsd and samba). Is it possible

cheep laser printer recomendations
Hi!
I would like to hear what printers go good w/our operating system.
While back, I should have checked w/y'all like I'm doing now but I just
went ahead and bought a Konica-Minolta PagePro 1350W. Now that W at the
end of 1350 is a huge word that means WINDOWS! grrrr! It's a great
printer 21pgs/min etc but it doesn't like linux at all and their tech
spt will tell you as much. I

my last two laser printers have been Brother black&white all-in-ones

Callerid issue
1) if you run ztmonitor on the fxo line & call in do you hear the fsk tone

if you get to the callerid_feed at least once then
if you get to chan_zap->ss_thread->callerid_get around line 4163 (current cvs)

NA_real_ <op> NaN -> NA or NaN, should we care?
On Linux when I compile R 2.10.0(devel) (src/main/arithmetic.c in
particular)
with gcc 3.4.5 using the flags -g -O2 I get noncommutative behavior when
adding NA and NaN:
> NA_real_ + NaN
[1] NaN
> NaN + NA_real_
[1] NA
If I compile src/main/arithmetic.c without optimization (just -g)
then both of those return NA.
On Windows, using a precompiled R 2.8.1 from CRAN I get
NA for
