virtual networking - virbr0-nic interface
I need some help in understanding libvirt's virtual networking. I have configured bridged networking (shared physical device) on libvirt+KVM system which is working fine. Also, I am using default NAT network on with virbr0 bridge device and virbr0-nic. I would like to get better understanding on virbr0-nic works in this virtual network configuration. I understand that traffic from virbr0

Forward routed network bridge on system's vlan
Hi all,
I created a two node cluster that manages virtual machines with two
servers connected via a cross cable on the network 10.0.0.0/24. I want
that machines that runs on different servers in the network
172.16.0.0/24 can see all the others.
To make this possible I've configured a vlan on each server:

Network/bridge questions
Hi,
I have an fc14 install and would like to install a few kvm guests but
am having difficulty with the networking. On the host I have disabled
NetworkManager and configured a bridge which has eth0, the only
physical interface on the server.
I have a dhcp server on the local lan, and if I add a mac address
entry to my dhcpd.conf, the guest will find an IP from there. I think
somehow the guest

Server with 2 Nics (continuation)
Hi *.*,
This is a continuation on the 2 NICs thread after some more testing.
Just to remember my goal.
---------------------------
I want to create a domU with 2 virtual NICS. One of them will contact
the outside world, the other one will contact a VPN. No reason in
concrete for choosing the bridging protocol, only because its the
default one. I installed the dom0 with the 2 NICs active, with

Re: Put virbr0 in promiscusous
Hi Michal,
Ok.
Please can you try this scenario once you get free time. Currently my
hypervisor is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 3.13.0-24-generic.
Meanwhile I will try this with some other Linux kernel also.
Mail me if you find anything related to this. It will be helpful.
Thanks for reply.
Regards,
Sagar
