Foreign Key naming convention override
I am working with an existing database and have to keep all table and
field names as they are. ''tblcustomers'' and ''tblitems'' are linked by the
''tblcustomers'' id field ''tblcustomersid''. In ''tblitems'', the foreign key
is called ''txtcustomerid''.
I have already set the customers model to

Date/Time format and syntax
Hi,
Just wondering how I get both the current date and time to display here
(so far I can only get the date OR the time):
@tblregisteredphone.txtregisterdatetime = Date.today
Also, how can I change the format of the date and time from:
Tue Apr 04 00:00:00 GMT Daylight Time 2006
to
2006-04-04 12:04:00
??
I''m sure it''s very simple, I just don''t know how

[Newbie] undefined method `useremail'' error
Hi all,
I''m just starting out... the solution to this must be really trivial but
can''t figure out what''s wrong. I''m using Webrick + Rails 1.0
The error is:

What am I missing?
Thanks,

cygwin rsync hang under Windows Terminal Services session
Hi, though the list would be interested to know an issue we have just come
across.
We have found that rsync version 2.5.6 over ssh within a cygwin environment
run manually from either a command prompt or a cygwin prompt hangs every
time if we run it in a Windows Terminal Server session. It doesn't seem to
matter what the remote server is as we have experienced this when the remote
server is

Connections over private network, Simon's GSSAPI patch
I'm sending this to both Simon and openssh-unix-dev because although the
problem I'm having actually occurs in Simon's patch, it could be
resolved with a change in the main code.
We are using openssh-3.4p1 plus Simon's GSSAPI patch to support Kerberos
V5 ticket forwarding over ssh protocol 2. We are using OpenAFS for user
home directory space, and LDAP for user information,

Double-banger function names: preferences and suggestions
What do you prefer/recommend for double-banger function names:
1 scale.colour
2 scale_colour
3 scaleColour
1 is more R-like, but conflicts with S3. 2 is a modern version of
number 1, but not many packages use it. Number 3 is more java-like.
(I like number 2 best)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Hadley

RE: 5, 000 concurrent calls system rolloutquestion
I don't think they are doing it with one Asterisk box. They did say "one rack of servers". Well, that might mean up to 50 computers if they are using blade servers.

I connect my homedir from the testserver and start Lotus Notes.
Lotus Notes is infamous for it's sensitivity for 'non-optimal' network
connections. Notes tries to lock certain files and complains immediately if
that fails.
