DTW - dynamic time warping - and time series in R
Hello, can anybody tell me if there exists functions for DTW in R? I didn't find anything at CRAN's search page... Also any information about packages for time series preprocessing (for pattern matching) would be useful... Thanks a lot, ondra

fast time series similarity (iSAX, UCR DTW, UCR ED) implementations for R?
Hello. I'm looking for a fast way to group by similarity many (5-10k) long (2-10k points) time series. Using PAM on distance matrix obtained via as.dist(1-abs(cor(data))) produces usable results but it's rather slow and doesn't catch slightly shifted time series. DTW implementation from package 'dtw' is orders of magnitude slower even with global window constraints which

Mouse warping, toggle option
One of the nagging issues that has been around for awhile with wine is "mouse warping" In some cases it doesn't place nice with the house environment, in other cases it doesn't play nice with the game, and overall it's a bit of an annoyance. Would it be possible to introduce an option to wine that would allow one to select whether warping is used (maybe a checkbox for

quasi-random vector according to an independent graph
Dear R-users, Is anyone aware of any function/package for generating a random vector from a joint distribution defined by an independent graph? Or I have to work it out myself? Thanks. Jinfang ------------------------------ Jinfang Wang, Associate Professor Chiba University, Japan

Mahalanobis Distance
Hello R helpers, I'm trying to use Mahalanobis distance to calculate distance of two time series, to make some comparations with euclidean distance, DTW, etc, but I'm having some dificults. I have, for example, two objects: s.1 <- c( 5.6324702, 1.3994353, -3.2572327, -3.8311846, -1.2248719, 0.9894694, -2.2835332, -5.1969285, -5.2823988, -3.1499400, -1.7307950, 2.8221209,

Building a Search Page as part of CRUD
I''ve been experimenting with Rails over the past couple of days and have come across something that seems harder than it should be. In previous frameworks I have used (WebObjects, php) a full search page (which leads into a list view populated with search results) was part of the CRUD that was either dynamically or statically created after specifying table/object schema. Call for Papers: ManLang 2018 (Sept. 10-14, Linz, Austria)
Dear Person That Posted This Email, Please be aware that calls for papers are only on-topic for this email list if they are specifically about LLVM. For example, a call for a workshop on LLVM in Scientific Computing would be on topic whereas a general compiler call for papers (like the one below) is not. That said, I hope you receive many strong submissions. Your conference looks

How to find a shift between two curves or data sets
Hello, I have a issue here! I need to find the offset or shift between two data sets. Each data set does not start nor end at the same time and dont even have the same sampling interval (which by the way isn't constant in any of the data set). It must be known that the data expressed in both the data set are comming from the same sensor so they should be the same! What I am looking for

SIP Header Info
I remember seeing something somewhere that described how I could get SIP header information with Asterisk. It was a command or a variable. Anyone know what it is? Thanks. Doug.

Deus Ex 1 : troubleshooting with latest WINE Git
Hi all, Steam Client - Deus Ex 1 WINE 1.3.19: works fine with no discernible problems WINE 1.3.20 (release): mouse cursor is stuck jumping in the centre of the menu screen - "MouseWarpOverride" has no effect whatever setting WINE Git Master (today): mouse cursor "teleports" randomly in the main menu. Halo
I have a strange problem in Halo where the mouse seem to run many times slower than the framerate. Even when the framerate is decent the mouse is choppy for lack of a better word. It's sort of a strange motion I can't really describe, sticky and halting, but it does seem to be related to the framerate in that that faster it is,the faster the mouse is. I have heard of a mouse warping bug

Active Directory LDAP userdb and dovecot
Hello everybody, I have a problem with LDAP userdb and dovecot. Let me first explain my LDAP configuration: I got three Active Directory LDAP servers (a.galliera.it, b.galliera.it, c.galliera.it) responding round robin to the name galliera.it. I want to use LDAP for the userdb lookup, so I configured dovecot-ldap-userdb.conf.ext as follow: hosts = galliera.it # round robin base =

SIP calls-per-second performance test tool
http://sipp.sourceforge.net/ Anyone care to throw this at Asterisk to see what happens? I would, but I am having significant temporal shortfalls recently due to the apparent warping of the space/time continuum when I answer the phone with clients/associates. It seems that entire days pass by before I hang up... very odd, and very counter-productive to getting good Asterisk work done. JT

Eve Online and Process Monitor Logfiles
Hi Today I did a clean Windows XP install on my partition, latest patches included. What perhaps is more interesting is that I was able to log the ENTIRE installation of EVE_Premium_Setup_185699_m.exe 649MB. After updating to (build?) 197121 I also logged some gameplay (3-8MB): Exiting station, warping to gate, changing jukebox track, dock to station og exit the game. Did not get to log the

Seeking through Theora+Vorbis ogg file..
Here's the problem: I've rewritten large parts of the output code of cortado 0.1.0 with the following aims: 1. output to something SWT-like instead of AWT. 2. Speed it up a bit. In the rewrites I haven't restricted myself to java 1.1; the fact that it uses SWT all by itself makes it useless for applets anyway. The speedup worked very nicely; it's almost twice as fast as
