Sourcing files with Umlaut in path no longer works
Dear helpeRs, on my new machine - Windows 7 64Bit, R 2.15-2, I can no longer source files for which the path contains the o-Umlaut (?). Dear R experts, I have defined a class "myclass" and would like the slots to be extractable not only by "@" but also by "$". I now try to write a method for "$" that simply executes the request object at slotname, whenever someone calls object$slotname for any object of class "myclass". Time series panel
I have a set of data that consists of a number of biological measurements. The columns are Time that runs from 01/01/2005 to 01/5/2007, Group which has 23 levels and postcode which is nested within group. This is a balanced panel but the number of postcodes differs within groups, from 15 to 400. The rest of this data consists of a number of columns of quantitative measures, largely counts.

dbeta may hang R session for very large values of the shape parameters
Dear all, we received a bug report for betareg, that in some cases the optim call in betareg.fit would hang the R session and the command cannot be interrupted by Ctrl-C?
