R-beta: Time Series Analysis
I have just downloaded rsept.zip and rseptbeta.zip for Windows 95 and I think that is a GREAT product. 1st: I want to know the differences between them. 2nd: I'm interested very much in time series analysis, but watching the html help there is not any function (for ex. like the S-Plus functions acf pacf and arima functions etc). If there is some pacages to plug-in with documentation

In the non linear mixed effects package a groupedData object can be created to facilitate modeling. The gD object includes a formula of the form 'response variable' ~ 'primary covariate' | 'grouping factor'. In experiments creating response surfaces there are 2 or more primary covariates. Is there any way to use the groupedData() function to include 2 primary

LLVM Social in Salt Lake City, UT (Nov. 14th)?
Hi everyone, On Monday, November 14, 2016 the LLVM in HPC workshop will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah (in conjunction with the SC16 conference). For last year's workshop, which was in Austin, we held an LLVM social the evening of the workshop, and I think that turned out really well. If you'll be in Salt Lake City and are interested in attending an LLVM social on the evening of November

x11() hangs in R 3.2.1
I'm on RHEL 6.6, R version 3.2.1 Patched (2015-07-30 r68761) -- "World-Famous Astronaut". Issuing the x11() command hangs R and does not complete. A window is partially drawn then freezes. Does anyone know of a solution? Thanks, Steve -- Steven J. Backus Computer Systems Manager University of Utah E-Mail: steven.backus at utah.edu

Molecule-like Notation for Arrays -- anyone interested?
At the APL conference in Berlin on July 24 I am giving a talk about about a molecule-like notation for arrays for which some prototype code is available in R. It is a graphical notation for arrays of higher rank which makes the structure of arrays and their various concatenations intuitively apparent, and which, in my judgment, would make an excellent interface for array programming languages. rsync-2.6.9pre2: undeclared variable in source code
A build of rsync-2.6.9pre2 on DEC Alpha OSF/1 4.0 failed because of an undeclared variable at lib/inet_ntop.c:84: memcpy(dst, tmp, len + 1); len is not declared; the code looks like the third argument should instead be the value strlen(tmp) + 1 I made that change, restarted the build and validation, and got this report: ----- daemon-gzip-download rsyncd.log ends FAIL

(no subject)
Hi All, I'm new at programming in R. Some functions create objects for which extractor functions are written to pull out some partial result. I wish to extract partial results from functions without extractor functions: for example, to pass a vector of results to another function. Even after looking at V&R S Programming I don't see a general approach. Specifically, how would I

I can write an ifelse(exists('parameter.estimate'), parameter.estimate, NA) statement within the statistic function to substitute
