-Wmisleading-indentation violations
Hi, I was building LLVM with gcc 6.1.1 recently and it was spitting out some warnings relating to misleading indention that caught my eye. This wasn't a fresh build so I may have missed some. I've CC'ed the authors of the potentially misleading lines so they can decide what do about the warnings (if anything). I'm wondering if clang-format is making some inappropriate choices

Tabs in R source code
Some lines are indented by tabs and some lines are indented by spaces, in R source code. This might due to the fact that the source code is not from a single person. But I think that it is better to enforce a single convention. My editor defaults a tab to 8 spaces. So some source doesn't seem to be indented correctly in my editor. Since tab may be displayed differently in different editor, I

knitr customization
I am trying to transition from Sweave to knitr, but there are a few things about customization of the appearence of R input and output that I did not get yet. Maybe somebody on the list can help me. In my Sweave presentations I used a slanted font for the R input and a normal font for the output, both in a small font. I also indented everything by an extra 2em. All this was achieved by the

Inline HTML legalities
Hi, I'm writing a Markdown Parser in Scheme by porting bits of Markdown.pl. As you're probably aware, the Perl version massages the file into the final output with a number of regexes. In my version I'm trying to use the regexes to detect the starts and ends of the features and then take specific action to emit the final representation. I'm doing it this way because I want to

[PATCH 1/2] mllib: Require OUnit2 for tests.
OUnit2 has an OUnit (v1) compatibility module. Unfortunately it is rather gravely broken: https://forge.ocamlcore.org/tracker/?func=detail&aid=1392&group_id=162&atid=730 Since there is no new release fixing this, it's easier to switch to using OUnit2 for unit tests. --- .gitignore | 2 +- README | 2 +- mllib/JSON_tests.ml | 56

2 post-doctoral positions in neurophysiological data analysis with R
Two post-doctoral positions are available from the Brain Physiology Laboratory in Paris (France). The first position is available immediately to work on spike sorting and spike train analysis. It consists in both data analysis and methods development. Familiarity with neurophysiology is not required. Familiarity with R and with some of the methodologies used: clustering, classification,

[LLVMdev] RFC: Change coding standard to not indent namespaces ever
Currently there is a mixture of indented namespaces and un-indented namespaces in both LLVM and Clang. I think this is confusing and it wastes developer time debating the issue. I'd like to pick one and stick with it consistently. Indenting cannot possibly work in many contexts -- file-wide namespaces just make no sense to indent. So I don't think we should pick "always indent".

Bug: Code block after list
Maybe this has been reported before, but I can't find it in the archives. A code block immediately following an ordered or unordered list breaks both the list and the code block. Badly. Tab or spaces for the block don't matter, legal indentation variants of the list don't matter. Tried a bunch of casual workarounds, extra newlines, etc., but no joy. Needs explicit

correct Rd markup for \value{}
Dear DevelopeRs Several functions in a package of mine have complex returned objects that are lists within the returned list. I wish to document each of the components of these sublists. If I do this within a \value{} section and nest \item within an existing \item, I get indented R-help sections in the standard help view (eg as shown by ?foo in Linux), but not in the PDF. For example:

Disambiguate List Item Followed by Code Block
Howdy, Quick question: Since list items with multiple paragraphs need to be indented four spaces, and code blocks are also indented four spaces, is there any way to disambiguate a list followed by a code block? Example: * This is a list item. * And so is this. Is this a second paragraph in the second list item, or a code block? It looks like Markdown.pl and discount

Mbox spool; dovecot rewriting and rewriting and rewriting
Hi, jaldhar recommended dovecot to me - http://www.askbjoernhansen.com/archives/2003/04/07/000286.html ... and so far it seems much nicer than the other imapds. yay. I use the OS X Mail.app client. I tested it with a test account with no problems, but trying to use it with my usual mail folders (~1.3GB; 120MB in the inbox) it's not working at all. It seems like dovecot keeps copying the

PHP Markdown 1.0.1l & Extra 1.2
Time for an update to PHP Markdown and PHP Markdown Extra. <http://michelf.com/project/php-markdown/> This new version of PHP Markdown Extra adds support for "fenced" code blocks (which I was previously calling "flat"). Fenced code blocks overcome many limitations of Markdown's indented code blocks: they can can be put immediately following a list item, can

textile formatting questions
Hi, I have a couple of webgen textile formatting questions. Please feel free to refer me to a textile mailing list if there is one that is more appropriate than here. First, how can I insert three dashes (---) in a <code> or <pre> block? I want to include a YAML file example, and the yaml document separator is three dashes, but this conflicts with the separator in webgen. Example:
