Pdf::Writer and "Replacement Tags"
Having read over the ruby pdf generation (simple reporting) options, I
think Pdf::Writer will do just fine...
..if the following is possible
On page 13 of (the really expansive) ::Writer manual, Replacement Tags
are detailed.
Before I jump into this tomorrow, I''m hoping for some triage sage
advice.
Finally, the question : "Would utilizing Replacement Tags be a suitable

If I have an object `obj` that is a SpecTask, and subsequently invoke
it, is there a way to programmatically determine the number of tests
that were successful, failed, and pending as a result of running that

Programmatically Retrieve Current Stable Version
I am writing an update script for Samba (compiled from source) and I am
wondering how best to programmatically get the latest release version
number.
I know that https://download.samba.org/pub/samba/samba-latest.tar.gz exists,
but I would like to get the version number to compare to smbd -V, so that
it can quietly ignore if Samba is already up to date.
My currently solution is to incrementally

How to programmatically save a web-page using R (mimicking Command+S)
Hi,
I would appreciate if someone can give me a pointer on how to save a
webpage programmatically using R.
For example, let say I have this webpage open in my browser:

When manually I save this page, I just press Command+S (using Mac) and
then this page get saved in hard-disk
Now I want R to mimic this same job that I do

WINS Question?
I have setup my Samba server as a WINS server using the wins support = yes
parameter.
My remote network can see the Samba server at our head office fine.
I have also setup the WINS setting on my PC (W2K Pro box) to point to the IP
address of my Samba server.
When I do a nmblookup -R -U <IP address of WINS server> <name of my PC> on
my Samba server I get this reponse;

[ncdf] programmatically copying a netCDF file
How to programmatically (i.e., without no or minimal handcoding) copy
a netCDF file? (Without calling
> system("cp whatever wherever")
:-) Why I ask:
I need to "do surgery" on a large netCDF file (technically an I/O API
file which uses netCDF). My group believes a data-assimilation error
caused a data variable to be corrupted in a certain way, so I'm going

Hello LLVMDev List,
It's my first time sending a message to the List - I have been working on a tool for my research project using LLVM. Thanks for your awesome work!
I have come across some bytecode like the following with an GetElementPtr instruction in brackets:
Bytecode:%3 = call i32 @_Z4funcPKc(i8* getelementptr inbounds ([5 x i8]* @.str2, i32 0, i32 0))
C++ code:func("bleh");

Programmatically minimising main R window (on windows)
Hi all,
Is it possible to programmatically minimise the main window of the
windows R gui? I'm designing a small gui with gwidgets & RGtk2 for an
non-statistician to use, and it would be nice if I could easily hide
all the R stuff that they don't need.
Thanks,
Hadley

Mode context extremely poor performance.
Hi all,
I curently have a big problem. One request (listed above) using context

this request on a single IA32 machine with Redhat and dbf on ext2. The
average reponse time is less than a sec. The same request on RAC 4 nodes
cluster on RAW take the same average time. On ext2 idem. But on OCFS it
took up to 15 sec randomly

Actionmailer sending many emails in same SMTP connection?
Hi,
I need to implement a mailing list system,
Actionmailer is great, but i haven''t found out a way to send many
(hundreds of) emails without having to reconnect to the SMTP server for
each mail when calling
Mymailer::deliver_my_mail(recipient)
Any tips?
(Possibly without calling directly Net::SMTP, so i can take advantage
of the rhtml rendering of the body)
Thanks,
Best regards,
