Chinese characters in the title
Dear experts, In my application, Chinese characters work great in the body of the page. However, in the title, they appear as boxes instead of something like " ???????? ". I also noticed CNET having the same issue: http://www.cnetnews.com.cn/news/net/story/0,3800050307,39438403,00.htm So my question to experts here is that is it possible to show Chinese

how to work with a designer
I am considering trying Rails out on a small web project where I will be working with a designer. What is the typical workflow and relationship for this: 1 have the designer learn rhtml or 2 have the programmer take html mock ups and turn them into rhtml In the past I have used Django (also very nice), which has a fairly accessible (ala php) templating language. Thanks, David S. -- Posted

widgets on rails?
Here''s my crazy question of the day. Has anybody played around with using Rails to create Mac OS X Dashboard Widgets? Or is that just sick and wrong? Giles

problem with looping formula through table
Dear useRs, I am stuck with a piece of code and hope you could give me some pointers. My aim is to calculate the lm-regression coefficients of individual stocks against an index. I am interested in both the coefficient and the pval. While I could do this manually for a select hand full, I hope to scale this up say for 30+ stocks (DAX-30, FTSE-100 etc.) to eventually have a matrix of coefficients

Searchable Archives of this list
Is there a searchable archive of this list? Did I overlook something obvious? I can find the archives, but short of downloading all the monthly gzips and building my own searchable database, it seems my only other option is to go month by month looking at subjects and hope to stumble on what I'm after. Does anyone maintain a public searchable version of the archives? I've got

Hi Folks, Can you point me in the direction of searchable archives for the list? I'm obviously missing something. I would like to be able to search the archives before asking my question. Thanks in advance Simon

Searchable Archives?
Hi guys, I am new to Asterisk. It looks great, but I have a couple of open questions such as - What softphones are recommended and provide Call Center level functionality? - What hardware (especially E1 (Euro S2M) class) are supported? I would like to search the list archives, but can't find a searchable archive. Can someone please point me into the right direction? Thanks. Regards,

Searchable archives of Markdown discussion list still available?
I was interested in going back to research past discussions on the list about possibilities for a syntax to add a class="foo" to div's and/or span's to Markdown text, but didn't have much luck. IIRC, the list never had a searchable web interface, but older posts were available on a Google search. This seems not to be the case any more. Can anyone recommend a good

Searchable models
Hi, I installed rails searchgenerator. When i run ''ruby script/generate search Search --inspect'' to check the models that are searchable, it returns none. I''ve about 9 models in my application. Why is none of the models searchable? Thanks, Adi. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Searchable Archives?
I'm going to post a question to the group that I'm sure has been answered before, but all the googling in the world isn't helping me. Is there a searchable archive of this mailing list somewhere?

Searchable List Archives?
I'd like to be able to search the list archives when I'm reading someone's message to put what they say in context based on what they've said, and what others have said in conversation with them, in the past. It would help me figure out whether to trust some submitters on some issues, and just learn more from the community's collective/cumulative research and discussion. Is

Browsable/searchable mailing list archives
Hi, Is there an easily browsable and searchable archive for cfe-dev? I often find myself wanting to link to a particular email, and it’s a very time consuming process with a pipermail interface. I’ve noticed that llvm-dev is reposted to a google group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/llvm-dev <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/llvm-dev>) which can be super convenient for that

[LLVMdev] Enabling the SLP-vectorizer by default for -O3
Nadav, I ran some benchmarks and I'm seeing 3-6% performance loss on a few of them when we use SLP on both O2 and O3 (with O3 having the biggest differences). Unfortunately, my benchmarking is not scientific, so I can't vow for those numbers, nor I'll have time to investigate it closer in the short term, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is result of extra shuffles we were

searchable or acts_as_ferret or neither?
Has anybody tried both and favored one of the other? Or maybe tried both and in the end used neither? I''m having perf (generic searches across 4 fields take upwards of 120 seconds) and index rebuild issues (not sure how long it takes to fully rebuild since the process either gets killed or dies due to a file lock exception) with a dreamhost site that is using AAF, has 65k rows in 1
