Syslinux 5.00 - Doesn't boot my system / Not passing the kernel options to the kernel?
Hi,
I encounter a problem with Syslinux 5.00 I cannot really describe. So I
created two small videos:
Booting with Syslinux 5.00 (1.3 MB):

How I fixed the problem by downgrading to Syslinux 4.06 and how booting
should look like (6.5 MB):

"Destructive" utilities
The following threads suggest that the way to reclaim memory occupied by
initramfs is to remove files from it:

However, there is no way to do it using utilities provided by klibs.

Xen 4.0.0 - dom0_mem differs from dom0''s memory
Hello,
I just upgraded from Xen-3.3.1 to Xen-4.0.0.
System is Gentoo, Hardware is DualCore AMD Athlon, 8GB RAM.
The kernel was upgraded from OpenSUSE 2.6.27.29-0.1.1 to Gentoo-2.6.32-xen-
r1.
The first boot failed with an OOM error during kernel/initrd load, so I
adjusted the dom0_mem option and had to increase it''s avalue from 256M to at
least 400M until the dom0 could boot.
At all

SELinux + EVMS + Xen - anyone done it?
Hi, I have seen a few posts on the list from people who were working on
this. If anyone has succeeded can you please drop me a line with some
notes on your boot process and the initrd creation process please?
I seem to have the bits all working individually, but I can''t quite
figure out how to get Xen kernel to boot up and start my EVMS stuff
under Gentoo. At the moment I have been

Some minor requests/questions
Hi,
1.) Is it possible to link the xen-kernel (xen.gz) into the dom0-kernel in
order to have only one kernel binary to handle?
2.) The xen-patch drops make targets like bzImage, ...
This breaks kernel configuring-/installing-scripts like Gentoo''s
genkernel. It would be great to keep the standard targets or modify them.
Thanx
Rene

ubuntu kernels 2.6.39+ don''t boot as hvm domU
Hi!
I tried booting ubuntu natty/oneiric domUs with 2.6.39 and 3.0rc1
linux-image packages, but they all "just stop" after the kernel is
loaded and the init process should take over.
The problem must be within the linux-image package, since natty domUs
with the standard 2.6.38 kernel boot just fine.
I also have debian and gentoo domUs running 2.6.39 without issues, so
it''s

egress bandwidth not limited / limited extremely inaccurately
I''m just-so-fresh to the list, so hello everyone.
I''m having a realy hard time with setting up very simple bandwidth
management. What I am trying to do is setup a 10Mbit interface to send
at only 1920kbit to most of the network (to make sure it hardly ever
tops 2mbit). I did succeed with the ingress traffic... With egress
however, I get very odd results at different speeds.

[PATCH] xsm/flask: fix resource list range checks
The FLASK security checks for resource ranges were not implemented
correctly - only the permissions on the endpoints of a range were
checked, instead of all items contained in the range. This would allow
certain resources (I/O ports, I/O memory) to be used by domains in
contravention to security policy.
This also corrects a bug where adding overlapping resource ranges did
not trigger an error.

LNT General Failure
Renato, Kristof,
I confirm this is due to the latest Flask --- Flask-0.11 was released this weekend --- and for some unknown (to me at least) reason, although LNT's requirements.txt pins Flask to version 0.10.1, pip installs Flask-0.11. Forcing Flask to 0.10.1 gets the situation back to normal.
Reading pip's documentation makes me think it's not able to resolve dependencies

[PATCH] xen/xsm/flask: Fix AVC audit message format
Fix formatting of Flask AVC audit messages so that existing
policy tools can parse them. After applying,
''xm dmesg | audit2allow'' yields the expected result.

LNT General Failure
It seem like it does fix the issue: http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-ppc64be-linux-lnt/builds/4405.
I agree with making LNT work with .11 too - but I'm not familiar with the part of LNT that has this dependency, so someone else may have to look into that.
Thanks,
Kristof

I hope I've fixed this properly just now in http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?view=revision&revision=271274.
Fingers crossed that the bots will come back now...
