iscsi confusion
I am confused, because I would have expected a 1-to-1 mapping, if you create an iscsi target on some system, you would have to specify which LUN it connects to. But that is not the case...
I read the man pages for sbdadm, stmfadm, itadm, and iscsiadm. I read some online examples, where you first "sbdadm create-lu" which gives you a GUID for a specific device in the system, and then

Resizing ZFS block devices and sbdadm
sbdadm can be used with a regular ZFS file or a ZFS block device.
Is there an advatage to using a ZFS block device and exporting it to comstar via sbdadm as opposed to using a file and exporting it? (e.g. performance or manageability?)
Also- let''s say you have a 5G block device called pool/test
You can resize it by doing:
zfs set volsize=10G pool/test
However if the device was already

mbox with sub-folders and messages?
Hi,
Is it possible to have dovecot configured to use mbox format and yet
have folders that contains sub-folders and messages? I'm thinking of
a simple setup where any files directory with extension .sbd are
presented to the IMAP client without the extension. So if you have a
mbox file named BOX01 and a directory name BOX01.sdb would show has one
on the client side (note: that is the way

XYPlot Conditioning Variable in Specific, Non-Alphanumeric Order. -- Resending with corrected .txt file
Due to an error on my part, I have renamed the previously attached file from
T_5-04b_LTC-SE-SO-Compared.csv to
T_5-04b_LTC-SE-SO-Compared.txt.
It remains a comma-delimited file so the extension can be changed and used per the script, or loaded separately.
My sincere apologies,
Guy

metaflac problem on cygwin
ever since going from flac 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 on cygwin I've encountered an issue
where I can't use metaflac on certain path specifications (see examples below).
I tried again with 1.2.1 and it still doesn't work (I can't recall but
I think it is from the cygwin dist, not the windows installed version)
not sure if this is a flac issue, or a cygwin one, but thougt i'ld start here.

Upgrading a volume from iscsitgt to COMSTAR
Hi, I have a zfs volume that''s exported via iscsi for my wife''s Mac to
use for Time Machine.
I''ve just built a new machine to house my "big" pool, and installed
build 129 on it. I''d like to start using COMSTAR for exporting the
iscsi targets, rather than the older iscsi infrastructure.
I''ve seen quite a few tutorials on how to use

add-view for the zfs snapshot
I frist create lun by "stmfadm create-lu ", and add-view , so the initiator can see the created lun.
Now I use "zfs snapshot" to create snapshot for the created lun.
What can I do to make the snapshot is accessed by the Initiator? Thanks.

Character encoding problems
Hi,
I am having problem with filenames in a "Linux Samba server <-> Linux Samba
Client" setup. The server has filenames with lanugage specific characters (???)
in them. When mounted on the Linux workstation the characters are replaced by
question marks.
If I connect to the server with a Windows machine there is no problem with the
characters. Also, if I connect with smbclient to
