Inspecting VMware OVFs
Hi, Maybe this is just a newbie question. I am trying to inspect VMware images with guestfish. I am running Fedora 15 in a VSphere VM. Once Fedora is installed I do: yum update yum install '*guestf*' Then I run guesfish on a copy of a Fedora 15 disk. guestfish -rw -I -a Fedora15-2-disk1.vmdk with the following result: libguestfs: error: unexpected end of file

Been at it all day ... finally have to ask for help!
Hello, So installed Fedora15. No problem, wish it had regular menus but the steamline effect isn't totally terrible. Heard that Guild Wars1 is playable in linux and so installed wine. It seems that you aren't supposed to install as root so I removed it as root. I then try to install anything via yum as non-root and I get the error of needing to be root. So, I read that you can bypass this

My vignette was in /inst/doc. Now, I have finished for good and before submitting my package to CRAN I've tried to install it again first in Linux and then in Windows (I removed that first

It uses Red Hat Cluster services v3 and DRBD 8.3.12. It is written such that you can use entirely free or fully Red Hat supported environments.

general protection errors
Hi, Some time ago I sent a message about some general protection errors, and didn't receive a response. I hoped I could post again and that someone might have some ideas. I really don't think it is a hardware problem producing these errors, but am otherwise out of ideas. I'm having a problem with a fedora15 x86_64 host with a fedora15 x86_64 guest on a Xeon E3-1240 with 8GB RAM on

Performance tuning questions for mail server
Hi, I have a fedora15 x86_64 host with one fedora15 guest running amavis+spamassassin+postfix and performance is horrible. The host is a quad-core E13240 with 16GB and 3 1TB Seagate ST31000524NS and all partitions are ext4. I've allocated 4 processors and 8GB of RAM to this guest. I really hoped someone could help me identify areas in which performance can be improved at both the guest and

content_for
Any ideas how I would go about writing specs for views which make use of content_for? I''d like, for example, to be able to specify that ABC view places XYZ in the sidebar, which I do using content_for(:sidebar). Am I missing something obvious? Kyle

Hiera 1.2.0-rc2 and deep-merge
Stumbled around a bit until I figured out you need to do this: gem install deep_merge to get it to work ! “Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.” Bill Waterson (Calvin & Hobbes) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.

Problems with PuppetLabs Yum Repo
Trying to update a RHEL5 x86_64 server Yum sees puppet-server 3.1.0-1.el5, but does not see puppet 3.1.0-1.el5 I tried cleaning out the cache and trying again, but no luck. general protection and other errors
Hi, I'm having a problem with a fedora15 x86_64 host with a fedora15 x86_64 guest on a Xeon E3-1240 with 8GB RAM on the guest. This is the only guest. The server is configured as a mail server, using spamassassin, postfix, amavisd, and clamav. It was previously running without error on different hardware. I migrated the disks to a more powerful server due to load. It's a new server, and

Attribute for Function that does not write to memory that outlives itself
Hi all, Is there a function attribute or otherwise way to query whether a function could write to memory that outlives itself? For example writing to a global or memory passed in via a function argument would be writing to memory that outlives the function, but writing to a stack variable or allocation that isn't returned would not. Cheers, Billy Moses -------------- next part

Fisher test problem
Hi, I noted a discrepancy between R and openepi when I ran a fisher test with the same matrix. In R: > a=matrix(c(1,2,6,17), nrow=2) > a [,1] [,2] [1,] 1 6 [2,] 2 17 > fisher.test(a, conf.int=T) Fisher's Exact Test for Count Data data: a p-value = 1 alternative hypothesis: true odds ratio is not equal to 1 95 percent confidence interval: 0.02061498
