how does hypervisor isolates DomU from Dom0
I am not clear with the working of hypervisor xen. How does an instruction executed by kernel in Ring0 of DomU gets mapped or executed by hypervisor and then is excuted in Dom0. Is this thing some where on the wiki page? -- Tapas _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

a demo website to learn xen on wiki (an idea that can be tried)
Hi, I am not very old member of this list but I keep browsing the threads. t\Today while browsing the threads in mailing list got an idea I see many of the questions sound similar to some thing which can be called as clarity of terms. I mean to say some one who may be coming to Xen wiki for the first time may find many terms confusing to them. Say for example a web hosting control panel many such

Just a couple of hang-out install questions
Hello, I am trying to do a non-interactive installation on a system with only a serial port console. The serial port only piece is working and most of the questions are pre-seeded (answered). However, I can't seem to figure out what the question codes are for these last seven. :( ``debconf-get-selections'' did not print anything out that I can correlate with these questions. Where

[LLVMdev] howto: using a chroot of another architecture with qemu
I have just build an arm chroot and I imagine others might be interested on how to do it. First you need to install qemu. Follow the instructions on http://wiki.debian.org/QemuUserEmulation. I had some problems compiling for x86_64, so I just edited qemu's configure to compile for i686. Now run debootstrap: debootstrap --foreign --arch arm sid your_chroot_dir http://ftp.debian.org/debian

Install ubunto domU
Dear *, I''m more used to work with RedHat like OSes. Still, I did not denied the request from a user who wants a domU based on ubunto. I usually use virt-install to do the job, with a script similar to this one: #!/bin/sh BASE=SL-4.7-i386-pv \ virt-install --nographics \ --nonsparse \ --paravirt \ --noreboot \

Fitting pareto distribution / plotting observed & fitted dists
Some background: I have some data on structural dependencies in a base of code artifacts. The dependency structure is reflected in terms of relative node degrees, with each node representing some code unit (just as an example). This gives me real data of the following form (sorry for the longish posting): dat1 <- c(0.00245098039215686, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0.0563725490196078, 0, 0, 0,
