Multiple Network Cards + Multiple Bridges on debian lenny
Hi all,
I''m searching for a tutorial how to setup multiple network cards with
xen network bridge setup in debian lenny. My problem is, bridges seams
only to work if i put an ip adress in dom0 to them.
Thanks,
Alex

xen 3.4.0 debian lenny problem with Fujitsu Siemens Server
Hi,
I using on all server (FSC RX100S5) xen 3.3.1 and kernel 2.6.26-1 or
2.6.26-2,evrything it works good. Now I try using xen 3.4.0 with the
same kernel but the system not up only go to the initramfs. I suspect
that the kernel did not load the driver for the controller. The question
just why it works on a Xen 3.3.1 does not work on 3.4 with the same
versions of the kernel .

Ether setup
Hello everyone. This is my first time attempting to use Xen and I am having some problems. I am trying to build a Xen system so that I can use the Ether program for malware analysis (http://ether.gtisc.gatech.edu/source.html).
I''ve installed Debian 6, and downloaded the Xen 3.1.0 source. However when I try to compile the source using "make world" I receive the following errors:

[Xen-devel] Crash during boot in Debian lenny default dom0 kernel (2.6.26-2-xen-686) / bugfix patches
Hello,
The email (thread) below from xen-devel mailinglist indicates the changesets
that should fix the bug that causes the lenny 2.6.26 xen kernel to crash on
newer xen hypervisors.
The workaround for this bug has been to use pci=nomsi on the dom0 kernel cmdline,
but it would be better to apply the actual fix to the xen kernel in lenny.
More information on xen-devel (archives).

Bridging on the blink with greater than 2 xen domains
Hi,
My bridging stops when I start a third Xen domain !?!?
I have a few domains setup (mail, wiki, pbx). If I start two domains
bridge networking works great. But if I start a third, either the new
domains does not work or one of the other DomUs stops working! By
stop working I mean I can''t route traffic outside of Dom0. I have
been looking at this on and off for a couple of weeks.

/lib/tls rename in Debian Lenny
Hi!
I''m installing my Xen server with debian lenny, because I had some
problems with etch intstallation and SATA AHCI.
I installes xen from sources, and everything went ok. But when I
restarted, I can see the message telling me to disable TLS moving
/lib/tls, but I don''t have that directory! I tried installing
libc6-xen, but the message keeps appearing... Any ideas?

Hi,
I''m running Xen on a Debian Xeon E3110 using the Debian 2.6.26-2-xen kernel.
As filesystem for my lvm domU partitions I choosed xfs.

Trying to install Debian Lenny amd64 from netinst cd on Xen HVM, the computer hangs and needs to reset physically.

Other ways to install Lenny on HVM are welcome. I tried with debootstrap, but it doesn''t boot disk image :-(

problems with USB and PCI passthrough on Debian Lenny
Greetings,
I have Xen installation with all domains (dom0+domU) being Debian Lenny.
I''d like to pass my usb printer to one of those domU domains. I couldn''t
make usb passthrough to work, so I decided that I will pass the whole
usb controller to the domU. It didn''t worked either.
I have read tons of internet howtos only to find the solutions proposed

Debian Lenny packages for 3.3.1?
My Dom0 is setup very minimally as a Debian 5/Lenny. I see the current Xen package is
3.2-1, and I''d like to get the current 3.3.1 for the better VT support for HVMs. Does
anyone out there have packages for this, as I''d rather not bulk up my Dom0 with the whole
GCC toolchain necessary to compile 3.3.1.
Thanks in advance.

AW: debian Lenny -> Squeeze domU mdX software raidmigration - failed to assemble arrays
Hi,
to make transitions more convenient, I've done this by using uuid instead of device names.
If you ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid inside your domU, you'll see something like
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 5. Mai 07:38 39a2a64b-0716-47ad-92f4-a7437cac54ee -> ../../sda2

lenny + xen reboots sometime
Hello,
I have a problem with debian lenny, xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-i386, 32bit Dom0
und 32bit Domu debian lenny on a IBM BladeCenter.
All is working fine and then sometimes the Blade reboots. When I add
noreboot in the menue.lst in Dom0 grub then the Server stops working and I
have to reboot manually. There are no error messages in the logs. The period
the server reboots is variable. Sometime it

Debian Lenny dom0 package on a Thinkpad t500
Hi,
I''ve been trying to build dom0 and xen hypervisor package for my
thinkpad laptop, but it''s not an easy task. Has anybody done that? Note
that I''m not interested in running anything but Debian packages, I think
it''s a too ugly setup otherwise, and I don''t want c**p on my laptop.
