Make world problem compiling Xen 4.0.1 from source
Greetings, Xen gurus!
Per the Ubuntu community documentation at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Xen#Maverick%20Notes%20(Xen%204.0.1%20pvops%20on%20Ubuntu%2010.10) I am trying to install Xen 4.0.1 from source which I got from bits.xensource.com/oss-xen/release/4.0.1/xen-4.0.1.tar.gz because apparently the ubuntu-xen-server package has broken dependencies. The instructions as provided state

pciback for usb-controller and usb-storage on x86_64 ends in Oops
Hi!
I tried to pcipassthrough usb-controllers to domu to use it with a
memory-stick.
First xen complained that the driver needs write-access to its
configuration space, so I added these to pci-quirks.
Since it still didn''t work I also added the device to pci-permissive but
I still get an errormessage with Oops (at the end of this email) when
sticking in the memory-stick.

how to get xen with a kernel 2.6.27 or above?
Hi list,
I am starting a academic security related project and I was wondering if
there is any documentation on compiling xen/dom0 with a recent kernel?
I''ve seen a few good intentioned threads, but no real documentation so far.
Any helpful pointers will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

suggest improvements in my doc to compile Xen from sources
Hi,
I am writing a small doc for people new to Xen.
to be able to compile Xen from sources on Ubuntu.
Please suggest some improvements for this how to or mistakes that you
can point out.
There is a technique of virtualization known as Xen and a hypervisor
known as Xen.
Like you have Firefox,Open Office,VLC and other softwares on your
computer similary

how does hypervisor isolates DomU from Dom0
I am not clear with the working of hypervisor xen.
How does an instruction executed by kernel in Ring0 of DomU gets
mapped or executed by hypervisor and then is excuted in Dom0.
Is this thing some where on the wiki page?

Resource temporarily unavailable on starting a vmx-domain
Hi all!
today I tried to start a vmx-domain with latest unstable-src.tarball.
I used the vmx-example-config and changed the filename of my
disk-image-file.
When I try to create that domain I get a (11, Resource temporarily
unavailable) error message.
Has anybody seen that and can tell me "what" resource is unavailable. I
can''t find anything that could help me in the logs.

Still un-answered: How-To build Xen (3.2) to override XenSource''s linux-kernel (2.6.18) with a xenified kernel (your own or distribution)
Hello,
I can say that I have searched the entire ''world wide web'' and still haven''t found ''complete and clear answers'' to the often asked question of:
Given a Xen (release) build (say 3.2.0), which by default tries to get and build and assume Linux kernel-xen 2.6.18 from the mercurial repository, HOW TO override the build and make it work with a

Building Modules Against Xen Sources
I''m currently trying to build modules against the kernels created
with Xen 3.0.5rc4.
This used to not be such a problem, as Xen created a kernel directory
and the built in it. Plain Jane, nothing fancy.
I''ve noticed that somewhere since I did this (which was as recent as
3.0.4-1) the kernel build now does things a bit different.
Apparently there is some sort of

a demo website to learn xen on wiki (an idea that can be tried)
Hi,
I am not very old member of this list but I keep browsing the threads.
t\Today while browsing the threads in mailing list got an idea I see
many of the questions sound similar to some thing which can be called
as clarity of terms.
I mean to say some one who may be coming to Xen wiki for the first
time may find many terms confusing to them.
Say for example a web hosting control panel many such

I should add that I would be interested in helping with hooking a good
decision procedure into LLVM. This will be useful far beyond array bounds
