XCP 1.0 beta : NOOB: how do i log into a newly created VM?
Hi: Sorry for the basic NOOB question but I managed to create a VM but now I am stuck. On page 26 of the XCP Virtual Machine Installation Guide it says "VNC and perform the OS installation". I tried everything I could find (listed below) but I am stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Here are two questions whose answers would really help: 1.

XCP unattend install-answerfile error
hi,guys I try to install XCP using answerfile. I made all the environment needed well, and it works well without answerfile. However, there are so many machines to be installed, so I want to install it via unattended way. So i write a answerfile by copying the example of the manual. ------------------> label xenserver-auto kernel xenserver/mboot.c32 append xenserver/xen.gz dom0_mem=752M

Request a way for passing simple info to a package installation
I need to install postfix on a a debian system with puppet. Unfortunately there are a lot of prompts. One way to deal with this is, is: http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/1/wiki/Debian_Preseed_Patterns. Another way (apparently) is to give an answerfile in the package resource declaration. (I have no idea how to do this) e.g.: echo postfix postfix/main_mailer_type        select  No

Any R packages support conversion from PDF to XLS ?
Pretty much nothing can convert arbitrary PDF files to unicode. It depends a lot on what is in the PDF to begin with -- properly encoded text or just bitmapped images, for example. I would recommend you search around to see whether there's a related archive in a different format. And in any case, this has nothing to do with "XLS" , as Excel can read any unicode file. woof wrote

Noob - port 3000 in URL''s - get rid of it?
Hi, total Noob here. I have a rails server set up and running. I''m working my way through the "agile" book. I see that all of the examples show URL''s that explicitly call for port 3000. How would one go about creating a ruby app that is engaged with a "normal" URL with no port number in it? That is apparently the default port for webrick to start up on

Noob question for wxMenu.get_menu_items()
How do I iterate through the pseudo-template list class containing wxMenuItem pointers. Am still a bit of a Ruby/wxRuby noob. Currently have this: pp mymenu.get_menu_items() which prints: #<SWIG::TYPE_p_wxMenuItemList:0x4634fa8> However when I try to do: mymenu.get_menu_items().each {|key| ...} it tells me there is no each method for this class (SWIG::TYPE_p_wxMenuItemList)
