About Using "nVidia Open Source Driver" on MIPS Computer
Debian have been building nouveau on a wide range of CPUs, including
mips (big-endian) and mipsel (little-endian, includes Loongson), for
some time; however, this does not necessarily mean anyone has actually
tried to use it.

Anyone know of a good open-source PHP accellerator that works with CentOS 64-bit?
Can you recommend a PHP accellerator that works with my CentOS 4.2
64-bit version? If it's possible, I'd like to find one that is actively
updated.
Thanks,

About Using "nVidia Open Source Driver" on MIPS Computer
Hello, Gurus, recently I got a MIPS computer installed with Linux
OS(Fedora), unfortunately there is no driver for the graphics
card, so it cannot perform 3D acceleration. Since I happen to have a nVidia
graphics card at hand (it is GeForce 9500GT, somewhat old), I want to apply
this card on this computer, so my questions are:
1. Is it possible to make a nVidia graphics driver for this MIPS

Samba as an Open Source case study
At http://www.opensource.org there is a quite powerful evolving argument
putting the case of Open Source software (thanks, Netscape :) As part of
this there is the beginnings of a collection of case studies. They are
obviously looking for high-quality stories along the lines of "I had this
brand-name software and I replaced it with free XYZ and I've never looked
back."

computer algebra in R
Dear Konrad,
I presume that the system can be written as follows, where h0, d0, ga0, kga and kd are given:
err1 = h + hd + hga - h0;
err2 = d + hd - d0;
err3 = ga + hga - ga0;
err4 = hga - kga*h*ga;
err5 = hd - kd*h*d;
All error terms should be zero.
Do you need (a) the symbolic solution or (b) is a numeric solution fine?
I do not have any experience with yacas or caracas. But see below.

R 2.12 How many downloads
A general question- and excuse me if you find it irrelevant
Are you tracking how many people finally download a specific R version by
counting the number of downloads through log/ analytics software like GA
etc?
If so- can we see some numbers

[LLVMdev] open source multithreaded garbage collector suitable for LLVM applications?
Hello All
Does any know about some opensource multithread-compatible (or
concurrent) garbage collector library, if possible suitable for LLVM?
(I mean that I want several mutator threads; the collector can be
stoptheworld or concurrent ....)
H.Boehm's conservative GC is multithread compatible, but seems quite
slow (allocation is about the time of a C malloc).
And it is well known that
