pfSense HVM
Hi Everyone,
Does anybody have any experience using pfSense on Xen? I would most
probably have to use HVM...
My idea would be to use PCI-Passthrough to the pfsense DomU, and only
make the Dom0 accessable via the pfsense firewall
Thanks
Jonathan

xiph flac git build fails out of the box
Not sure where bug reports are going yet. I'd love to try to
cross-compile with mingw, but git fails to build out of the box so
far; these scripts work for most any other git tree I've used them on
before.
All that's done:
./autogen.sh
./configure --prefix=/home/avuton/src/mpd-release-utils/build-dir
--host=i586-mingw32msvc -
-build=x86_64-linux-gnu --target=i586-mingw32msvc

[flac-git] Install fails with --disable-doxygen-docs
Latest git [3b41451197f2cc7afb13753caaccbadaa74eca32] cross compiles
perfect without patches (this is the first time I've seen this with
any flac tree). Install fails with --disable-doxygen-docs; it's
probably easy to fix, but here's the problem:

mpd configure and route issues
I have searched google high and low for answers to this...and I have gotten
many examples, howto, etc...but they all seem to have a slightly different
configuration, and therefore, slightly different problems. Unfortunately,
not enough of them show the network layout, along with the configuration, so
it's hard to tell why certain IP are being used, and were they are on the
network. I have

Using MPD as an Icecast source (hint: using jack helps)
I thought I should report this: (In my case at least) defining a "jack"
output for mpd caused a "shout" output to become operational.
I was trying to configure mpd with a "shout" output to feed my Icecast2
server, but with no luck.
Giving up, I fell back to option 2: Feeding my mpd output to darkice using
"jack" as an interface.

Yes. You need a server and a programming to the list that users might be
able to pick songs. Like this...

Icecast Fedora9 migration problems
Ok, sorry about the top post.
Compiled and installed 3.2.3, found a few stilled borked configs with my
MPD, and fixed that, and both Icecast (after playing with ownerships that
were deleted when I de-yum'ed the icecast RPM from the Fedora repo's) and
icecast is working. I will clean up the config to remove some of the things
that were mentioned though.

[Bridge] Unexpected behaviour
Hi, I've set up a bridge using the 2.6.11.6 kernel. The machine is
running Debian testing with three NICs in it. eth0 is a standard 100Mb
Intel NIC, eth1 and eth2 are both Intel gigabit cards using the e1000 driver.
I tested everything at 100Mb and it worked fine. I moved the machine into
production, eth1 plugging into a dumb 100Mb D-link switch, eth2 plugging
into a shiney new Cisco

Down the MPD road
Well, after working through the various options it looked like MPD would be my
best bet here. I've got it sort of working, but there's obviously some
tweaky I'm missing here.
Recap of the scenario:
Full class C of static IPs segmented into 3 networks. Outside, DMZ, Inside.
Trying to get remote Windows users through securely to the Inside.
Remote users have dynamic IPs.

Lossless stream from MPD...
Any way to setup a lossless stream from MPD? I know MPD can encode FLAC,
but I don't know if Icecast can handle it. Any other lossless options?

Yeah i meant that only. But MPD is not working well in Windows. Can you
elaborate other types for creating database ?? Can we fetch songs from that
database on user demand?
