NIC Stability Problems Under Xen 4.4 / CentOS 6 / Linux 3.18
I have three different types of CentOS 6 Xen 4.4 based hypervisors (by
hardware) that are experiencing stability issues which I haven't been
able to track down. All three types seem to be having issues with NIC
and/or PCIe. In most cases, the issues are unrecoverable and require a
hard boot to resolve. All have Intel NICs.
Often the systems will remain stable for days or weeks, then

xen, pvops & nvidia graphics
Hello all, this is my first post to the mailing list, so I hope this is the
right way to ask a question.
I''ve installed xen on my laptop (Asus N51Vf, specs here:

university and don''t have my proper desktop hardware to play with. The
laptop supports IOMMU/Vt-d and has one PCI-e Geforce GT130M

Network Interface Options
I see that by default Xen seems to emulate a Realtek 8139 in my hvm''s.
I have a quad port Intel PCIe nic available and wondered if I remove the network line altogether from the config and pass the nic in will I have near native performance without pv drivers?
Also, is it possible to pass in one of each of the 4 ports into 4 different hvms? I don''t exactly know how the NIC

Error: failed to assign device...VT-d isn''t enabled properly(?)
Dear List,
I need to make an Aladdin eToken Pro visible in a Linux guest HVM, but
I cannot assign the device to any domU, while it''s being blocked by
the dom0.
To avoid this trouble I would like to pass the whole USB bus to the
domU directly, via PCI passthrough.
Now I use xen 3.3.0 from xensource and xen kernel from Ubuntu 8.04
2.6.24-19-xen, because the xensource xen kernel

Intel igb driver question
Does anyone here know which CentOS release added support for 8086:1521,
some I350 class device? We cannot get it to work under 5.4/igb driver
version 1.3.16-k2. There must have been some major updates since,
5.8 driver is 3.0.6-k2-2 and current is 3.3.6.

Intel igb driver 3.2.10-k failed to work on Xen 4.1.2 kernel
Hi,
I tried to use Intel quad-port ethernet adapter on a server running
Ubuntu 12.04.1 (kernel 3.2.27), but the igb driver (version 3.2.10-k)
failed to work on Xen 4.1.2 kernel in bridge mode.
The content of /etc/network/interfaces follows :-
auto xenbr0

bridge_ports eth0
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet manual
I checked with brctl and there was no

DDK for XCP 1.1? igb driver issue, XCP 1.5?
As seen on the mailinglist, many have been hit by the issues with the
igb driver included in xcp 1.1 and below ( and 5.6 fp* and below as
well ), version 2.4.3, which due to a bug prevents VLAN tagging and
other features from working correct (sr-iov). This mainly affects
systems with Intel 82576 nics.
There are work arounds for this, mainly updating the driver from
intel, see here:

Network problems (Xen 4 +Debian Squeze 64bits).
Hi guys,
i have 4 Xen servers, two with Xen 3.2.1 and the other two with Xen

3 of these interfaces are bridges (configured in the
''/etc/network/interfaces'' config file, NOT in xend-config.sxp file) and
one is used for the ISCSI service, where the virtual machines are loaded.
