How to get information about the guest filesystems by libguestfs
Hi, I am using guestfish to write some files into guest file system of my KVM domain. As you know, I have to mount guest disk at a position in the filesystem before I write any files into it , e.g.: mount /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / But the problem is how I can get guest filesystem info without login guest. Now I have to power on the KVM domain, login the guest, remember which

installing Windows 2008 R2
Hi all, I''ve been trying to install Windows Server 2008 R2 under Xen 3.1 on Red Hat, but it keeps blue screening after the first reboot during the install. It seems to only affect 2008 R2. Windows Server 2008 installs fine, rebooting a couple of times along the way. With R2, it will go through the initial unpack and install, and then it reboots. I''m installing it

sorting by date
Hello, I have set up a data.frame and one of the columns contains a date of the form (with slashes as separators): mm/dd/yyyy I would like to use formulas on other columns in the data.frame organized by date, for example: tapply(var1, sort(date), mean) However, when I try sort(date) it sorts based on the first two entries in the date field: 9/1/2001 9/1/2002 9/1/2003 9/2/2001 ... 5.6 7.5

Can I use libguestfs to pass some parameters into a KVM virtual machine
Hi, I have installed KVM in my RHEL5.3 box, and created some VMs on it. I am wondering if I can use libguestfs to pass some parameters/files into my VMs. As you may know, for Xen, I can use xenstore command to do this job, can libguestfs do the same thing? What I want to do includes: 1. Modify some configurations in my VM, such as editing /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to add a static

GPL PV drivers for Windows 0.10.0.50
I''ve just uploaded 0.10.0.50 which fixes a few bugs related to high network load (BSoD''s & packet corruption). It should upgrade any previous 0.10.x.x. Additionally, I''ve also uploaded uninstall_0.9.x.txt (rename it to .bat) which will uninstall 0.9.x drivers. After running that, reboot and they should be gone. Please do a backup first though as I have only tested

Memory Leak with stock Squirrelmail, PHP, mysql, apache since 5.3
Hi list, We are experiencing a memory leak on our SquirrelMail server since the 5.3 update. The server is fully updated, only stock rpms. The httpd processes are eating all the memory and after swapping like hell, the server became unresponsive and we must hard-reboot it. The server is not that much loaded (max 10-15 concurrent users but with tons of mail in their inbox). Configuration's

GPL PV TAP cow incompatible?
Hi Is it true that the GPLPV drivers is incompatible with QCOW images? The Windows DomU works fine with raw standard "file:/" images, and paravirtualized Linux DomU works fine with QCOW and raw images. If i use QCOW images with my Windows DomU''s i get a stop error: 0x00000007b (inaccessible boot device). It looks like the blkback.3.hda process, that normally starts with

Centos 5.4 'prerelease-access' - is there such a thing?
Hi, excluding the Frankengrade from CENTOS5.3 to upstream RHEL5.4, is there are procedure / repository access / nightly builds / ... to what will be CENTOS 5.4? URLs? Howtos? Discussion threads or notes? I checked help, wiki and forums and google, but came up empty. Of course, this kind of use is depending on the way the new upstream RHEL sources are processed, so maybe there
