What''s the different for "dom0_max_vcpus=4 dom0_vcpus_pin" and "dom0_max_vcpus=4" ?
Hi experts,
Q1:What''s the different for "dom0_max_vcpus=4 dom0_vcpus_pin" and
"dom0_max_vcpus=4" ?
which will get better performance
Q2: dom0_max_vcpus=4 means "core0-3 will be just used by dom0" or means "4
cores(not dedicate cores) will be used by dom0, eg: core2-5 or core3-6?
Q3.what does mean "nosmp" , xen, dom0,domU, will just use one

Xen 4.0 Custom kernels
Hi there guys.
I''m using CentOS 5.4, I was able to compile my custom Dom0 kernel and boot
it, now I''ve got some doubts.
I''d like to compile a custom DomU image, the problem is that when I do, make
kernels KERNELS="linux-2.6-xen0 linux-2.6-xenU" it tries to download the
kernel
from the HG repository which seems to have old 2.6.18 kernels, I want to use

probs running stuff from initrd
Hello all
Now I may be way of whack here, so please forgive me.
I''m trying to merge xen with redhat''s config-netboot. The idea being a
kinda stateless domU. For those that haven''t seen you share a rootfs and
then bind mount all the individual files over then top, and the redhat
gui builds all the pxeboot config and stuff for you if you want a
diskless client. I

Debian Repository
Hi,
Im trying to install Netware and Windows 2008 server but im having
problems with it reading the ISO. Im guessing this is because im
running version 3.2.1 debian packages so i want to upgrade to unstable
and use the 3.4 deb packages.
My problem is that there isn''t a kernel package so when booting you cant
boot into xenified kernel mode. If i try and use a kernel from the

Re: [Fedora-xen] another xen build and pvops kernel
Just wondering why kernel-2.6.32.23-170.xendom0.fc12.src.rpm cannot make itself
into F14. It seems pretty stable. Why it cannot be just a package available via "yum install" . Anyway Fedora''s Libvirt has the best compatibility with Xen 4.0.1.
It''s not too late switch back to Xen with PVOPS kernel. XenLinux 2.6.34.7 aka Suse
is really dangerous . It outperforms pvops

HVM iSCSI Boot ROM
Microsoft has their "boot" version of their iSCSI software initiator. Apparently this still requires that the network card be iSCSI Boot "enabled." Intel seems to be the only obvious company out there supporting it on their Server adapters - I was wondering if there are any thoughts/plans on implementing iSCSI Boot functionality in the HVM Boot ROM? Or maybe there''s
