[XCP] new version available
[previously posted to xen-devel@ and xen-api@ but this might be of interest to xen-users@ too] Hi, I''ve refreshed the Xen Cloud Platform (XCP) .isos on xen.org with a new development snapshot (labelled version 0.1.1). XCP is a collaborative effort to build a complete cloud infrastructure platform, complete with a powerful management stack, standards-based APIs, support for multi-tenancy

Feeling a little guilty...
This is the first time I have tried Centros and I must say that I am a very happy camper. But maybe my needs/goals are simple: I need HTTP and FTP servers that support Apache, PHP and Interbase (yes, that "funny" DB that runs and runs). RH 9 was like that and so was FC 3, BUT FC 4 was something else...could not even get it to install (like others). And this forum has been VERY

Solaris dom0 xen-unstable.hg source for developers
I''m happy to announce that we have moved the xen-unstable.hg Solaris dom0 development out to the OpenSolaris community. For hard core developers, you can download, build, and run Solaris dom0 and xen-unstable bits following the instructions at the end of this post. We are currently sync''d up to changeset #17644 (~May 15th). Hopefully we will sync up with xen-unstable.hg every

puzzle
Sorry again for the only marginal relation to asterisk, but the issue does affect the voice performance I am experiencing, so I am soothing my guilt with that. Bet you don't see this every day: ast% uptime 13:48:08 up 981 days, 18:29, 1 user, load average: 1.08, 1.02, 1.01 ast% I *REALLY* want this machine to see 1000 days uptime, if for nothing other than bragging rights. Its been

XCP and OpenXenCenter
I just noticed OpenXenCenter (aka OpenXenManager) that is an open source replacement for Citrix's XenCenter. This tool works with XenServer. But as per the blog entry: http://blog.xen.org/index.php/2010/02/09/xen-cloud-platform-installation/ it is also supposed to work with Xen Cloud Platform. XCP is licensed GPL2 and is a combination of multiple packages. Has the team looked at the

Voice "broken" during calls
Hi, We are working on a product to analyze pcap files of VoIP calls. So far it does a reasonable job of analyzing the frequency distribution of packets in both directions, pointing out which direction packet loss / bad jitter occurs.  If you can trap the traffic on the outside and the inside of your Banana Pi and send me the pcap files, I would be happy to run it through our analyzer as

quilt.plot
Dear all, I have a problem with plotting. I have an irregular set of data, where latitude is listed from bigger to smaller values. So, I cannot plot with image.plot. On the other hand, quilt.plot solves the problem, but it can't take the definition of color. It gives the feedback: Error in image.plot(out.p, col = tim.colors(64), ...) : formal argument "col" matched by

[PATCH] KVM: add KVM_SYNC_SHADOW_WITH_USER ioctl
The host needs to zap its shadow entries before performing an inflate operation to avoid the guest from using stale ones. So add an ioctl to interface with kvm_mmu_zap_all(). plotting x y z data from an irregular grid
Hi, I'm trying to plot some data (z) that is linked to lat&long coordinates (x&y). These coordinates are not however on a regular grid. I also have some shapefiles on which I would like to overlay the data. I can plot the shapefiles (country/city outlines) and overplot the data, but only using quilt.plot because I otherwise always get the error message that 'Error in

Mercurial repositories for ManageSieve and Sieve
Hello Dovecot users, Recently I was asked to use Mercurial for the ManageSieve development just like Dovecot. As a matter of fact I have been using Mercurial for some time now. Now that I am back from a short and active vacation I am ready to publish my repositories. The repositories are publicly available at: http://hg.rename-it.nl/ The -patch repositories are so-called Mercurial Queues (MQ)

git workflow, redux
Summary: I have tried the packaging-only repo and I really don't like it at all. I don't know how anyone copes with this - such hard work! IMO we should switch to git-debrebase. (As an alternative, if you don't trust git-debrebase because it's my own tool, gbp pq would be better, too, even though it's not as good as git-debrebase.) Particularly, now that we have more people

Regression test failed when building on an "older" Linux cluster
We have an aging Linux Cluster here, running Red Hat 7.3. We have some business reasons for not upgrading the OS version. I don't recall the exact hardware (dual Pentium III, 4 Gbyte RAM, 1 GHz clock?), but it was pretty good in 2001 or so. We recently tried to build and install R, ver 2.6.0, for this cluster. It built and apparently ran correctly, but it failed "make check".

[ITR] templates://xen-api/{xcp-networkd.templates}
Dear Debian maintainer, The Debian internationalisation team and the Debian English localisation team will soon begin the review of the debconf templates used in xen-api. This review takes place for all packages that use debconf to interact with users and its aims are: - to improve the use of English in all debconf templates; - to make the wording of debconf templates more consistent; - to

"No text console available" when trying to get the console of a just created VM from a template on XCP
Hi there, I am trying to set up XCP on Ubuntu 12.04. I went through the procedure given in the README file of the xcp-xapi package and reached the point where the hypervisor seems to be running fine. I set up a VM using the Debian Squeeze (64bit) template and started it, giving a Debian mirror URL as install-repository. Running "xe vm-list" reports that the machine is running, but when
