I/O bandwidth control on KVM
Hello all, I've implemented a block device which throttles block I/O bandwidth, which I called dm-ioband, and been trying to throttle I/O bandwidth on KVM environment. But unfortunately it doesn't work well, the number of issued I/Os is not according to the bandwidth setting. On the other hand, I got the good result when accessing directly to the local disk on the local machine. I'm

how does hypervisor isolates DomU from Dom0
I am not clear with the working of hypervisor xen. How does an instruction executed by kernel in Ring0 of DomU gets mapped or executed by hypervisor and then is excuted in Dom0. Is this thing some where on the wiki page? -- Tapas _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

hdc lost interrupt
Hello After updating to the 2.6.9-42 kernel, one of my boxes stall during boot with hdc lost interrupt ide-cd:cmd 0x3 timed out The older 2.6.9-35 kernel boots fine. This is a Compaq Proliant PL360. The odd part is, I have another, identical Proliant that runs the new kernel just fine. Any idea what is happening? Thanks Jamie -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment

Wine 1.2 UBUNTU 10.04.1 Sound lost in an interrupt
I can only vouch for one program, but this is reproducible. Running SimCity4 occasionally when an interrupt occurs, sometimes as little as an extra mouse click and always on a context switch, the sound from the program is lost and does not recover. The log for this is over 1400 lines, so I stuck it on my web site. Here is the URL. http://www.ezlink.ca/~jwinterton/sc4wine.log.tar.gz
