step() in sink() and Sweave()
Dear developers, I just noticed that step() function currently prints the current model using message(), but the resulting model using print(). The relevant commands within the step() body are: if (trace) message("Start: AIC=", format(round(bAIC, 2)), "\n", cut.string(deparse(as.vector(formula(fit)))), "\n") (with example() output:) Start: AIC=190.69

compatibility between 3.3 and 3.4
Hi all, We're playing around with new versions and uprading options. We currently have a 2x2x2 stripped-distributed-replicated volume based on 3.3.0 and we're planning to upgrade to 3.4 version. We've tried upgrading fist the clients and we've tried with 3.4.0, 3.4.1 and 3.4.2qa2 but all of them caused the same error: Failed to get stripe-size So it seems as if 3.4 clients are

stripped volume in 3.4.0qa5 with horrible read performance
Dear folks, I've been tried to use replicated stripped volumes with 3.3. unsuccessfully due to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=861423 and I then proceed to try 3.4.0qa5. I then find out that the bug was solved and I could use replicated stripped volume with the new version. Amazingly, write performance was quite astonishing. The problem I'm facing now is in the read process:

DNS A queries for channel
Hi folks, I've been using * for quite a few years and everyday it surprises me more. I was recently analysing some captures with ethereal/wireshark and found out that * was doing DNS A queries for domain names like channel.mydomain.comwhere channel is the typical string of the dstchannel or channel field in the CDR entries. Obviously those queries returned with negative answer because it

asterisk 1.4 freezes with queues and iax after virtualization
Hi folks, Recently a customer of us moved his "old" asterisk installation, an 1.4.44 to a VMWARE infraestructure and has started having some weird issues. Asterisk started going slow and even refused to start up. After few tests, it only loaded when deactivating queues and iax2 (with noload in modules file). The thing is that it had been working with these modules loaded and lately it
