[PATCH] Remove device information when VmError occurred
Hi, I tested xm block-attach command with a wrong parameter(file:). Naturally a command error occurred. Then I retested xm block-attach command with a correct parameter(phy:). But a command error occurred again. The second command error occurred because Xend did not remove device information from self.info when the first command error occurred. # xm block-attach vm1 file:/dev/hda4 hdb1 w

I foolishly made the following typo: " disk = [ ''phy:/dev/vg00/virt-smtp1-root,0301,w'', ''phy:/dev/vg00/virt-smtp1-root,0302,w'' ] " instead of: " disk = [ ''phy:/dev/vg00/virt-smtp1-root,0301,w'', ''phy:/dev/vg00/virt-smtp1-swap,0302,w'' ]" (the type was that the same Dom0 block device is used twice in the

[PATCH] fix free of event channel in blkfront
Hi All, We tested the xm block-attach/detach command. It repeats block-attach/detach command for DomU and pv-on-hvm on HVM Domain. (block-attach -> block-detach -> block-attach -> block-detach -> ...) The block-attach command failed when repeating 256 times. It is because the channel had not been freed in blkfront. Therefore, it remain using the event channel. This patch is

err0rs while attaching devices to dom0
Hi All, I want to create a domU file system by copying necessary stuff from Dom0. However, I encountered an error. I first create a block device for DomU: " # mknod /dev/xvda1 b 202 0" Then I want to temporarily attach this device to dom0 in order to copy the file system of dom0, so I used a command "# xm block-attach 0 duncan.img /dev/xvda1 w 0". However, I got an error

Multi-partition domain not recognizing extra partitions
Hello, I have been having an annoying problem with a multi-partition domain. This domain has a separate partition for : /, /home, /usr, /var, /tmp and /data. I created it using xen-tools and the custom partitionning scheme option. The partitions are inside a LVM. When I boot the domain, it mounts the / and swap partition but none of the others. Therefore it doesn''t work... I get the

xen 3.3.0 + intrepid domU (2.6.27-7-server) + >4gb ram problem
Hi, we''re using Xen 3.3.0 on Debian Etch with 2.6.18.8 kernel from xen.org on dom0. We have problems starting Intrepid domU (using Intrepid''s kernel 2.6.27-7-server) if we give more than 4GB of memory to this domain. Using memory = ''4096'' works perfectly, but changing it to ''4097'' already gives an error. Can anyone put some light on this?
