Have 2 DomU share a same Logical Volume
Hi xeners, I am trying to have 2 DomU share a single Logical Volume. I need that at least one of the DomU has read-write access to the LV. I have tried, but up to now, it only works if both DomU have read-only writes to the LV. That''s a problem for me, because I wanted to set up Nginx on a DomU, and Rails on another one, and have Nginx get read access to an LV that would hold the public

Variable scope: Class inheritance vs Include statement.
Hello. I''m a long time cfengine user, some might say sufferer, and I have finally managed to get around to experimenting with Puppet. So far I''m very impressed. I am trying to get puppet to configure the openntpd config file, from an ERB template, based on the node definition in the site config. What I''m trying to understand is why when I define a variable in a child

Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.37 Severity: normal Hello again, openntpd gives messages like these failry often: Apr 7 14:25:55 terminus ntpd[673]: peer 204.17.42.202 now invalid Apr 7 14:26:10 terminus ntpd[673]: peer 204.17.42.202 now valid I am not sure if this is something that an admin may find relevant but they happen fairly often and they do not offer a lot of info for me.

Controllers, what? why?
Hi, I am starting to learn rails and I went through the guide and a couple of tutorials. Even though I understand controllers or at least I can use them I can''t see yet the whole picture. Why do you need several controllers for a single application? If a controller is just a class whose methods interface with models and views, why not have a single controller for the whole application?

Heavy clock drifts inside of KVM guests (qemu-kvm 2.1.2)
Dear list(s), we are running a cluster of virtual machines on ganeti 2.15.2 on top of qemu-kvm 2.1.2. Hosts are Debian jessie (Kernel 3.16). We have big trouble with timekeeping on guests, no matter if these guests are lenny, squeeze, wheezy or jessie. Clock drifts heavily on some, others are fine. There is no obvious pattern on which guest this happens and on which not, but it seems the clock

network usage gathering
I''ve run into a problem gathering usage for my xen virtual systems. With my old model I used to gather all network usage via my cisco devices using the the counters for each port. Each system had it''s own port on the switch, and I tracked network usage accordingly. Now that I''m using xen for virtual systems, and multiple vm''s share the same switch port,

Package "maps": what is the name of county # 2395?
I am using "maps". I am running the following code to get this list of all the counties: map('county', plot=FALSE)$names In the output, all counties have first the state listed and then, after a comma, the name of the county. However, county # 2395 (State = south dakota) has no county name. Anyone knows what this county is? Thank you! -- Dimitri Liakhovitski

Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=module&c=7000 for further, more detailed information. I've read SecuRom works in Wine, so why doesn't it work for me?

selinux contexts for openntpd portable
I was wondering if someone could help with selinux context for the portable openntpd library on centos7. I compiled openntpd-6.0p1 and it runs great on centos7, but have not had much luck with selinux contexts for it. This is what I tried- semanage fcontext -a -t ntp_conf_t /usr/local/etc/ntpd.conf # seems to work semanage fcontext -a -t ntpd_exec_t /usr/local/sbin/ntpd # gets reset on
