Hi everyone,
I would realy appreciate your help and guidense with a problem I have.
Im trying to set up a SMS Gateway as a alert system for my network.
Although the Aircard is picked up as a usb device and has a driver in

Hi there,
sorry for rather long mail. Two verbose dmesgs and `pciconf -vl` outputs
attached.
trying to set up new machine based on ASUS P4BGL-MX motherboard, I'd

CentOS 5.2 vs. Intel 82801 AC'97 Audio
I have installed 5.2 on my work desktop and everything works perfectly
EXCEPT the sound device. Here is the relevant lspci line:
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM

I tried looking in Google (might have been a bad search), but all I
could find was to add acpi=on to my boot line in grub.conf, and that

choppy audio playback
Oh, wise Centaurs,
On the last install (Suse) I was running on this old notebook (Dell
i600m) the audio worked fine. Specifically, Realplayer and onsite
players (like you get at NPR and other sites) and youtube played just
fine. But with this current install (CentOS 5.3, fully updated) all of
those sources just mentioned play choppy. It's like an echo so severe

Bug in winealsa.drv? Incredibly specific oddity
I've been struggling desperately to get iGuidance 4 working with Wine and I've come across what seems like an incredibly specific problem.
I've been struggling with the TTS output for the navigation, it just keeps randomly locking up the app, sometimes after a mile, sometimes 30, after figuring out I could debug just the wave classes, I think I've found a clue.
It keeps hanging

FW: IA64 test report: 2.6.8-rc1 /tiger 2004-7-20: Boot Hang!
Originally, the test is on a tiger with RHEL installed. The fs is ext3 as default.
Then the oops came up.
I've installed the test kernel on another tiger with Suse, reiserfs as default.
The kernel can boot successfully without any trouble.
Is it a known issue? Or what causes this happen?
thanks,
-zhen

fxp performance with POLLING
Hello again :)
With POLLING enabled I experience about 10%-25% performance drop when
copying files over network. Tested with both SAMBA and NFS. Is it normal?

[RFC] kvmtool: add support for modern virtio-pci
This is a first go at adding support for the modern (based on the 1.0 virtio
spec) virtio-pci implementation.
kvmtool makes it simple to add additional transports such as this because of
it's layering, so we are able to add it as a 3rd (after legacy virtio-pci and
virtio-mmio) transport layer, and still allow users to choose to use either
the legacy or the modern implementations (but setting

pciback not working
Hi,
I am still trying to assign pci or usbs to a domU. I get to the point where
pciback seizes the devices (5 usb and 2 pci). I modified the configuration
of the domU with pci = [ ''00:1d.0'' , ''00:1d.1'' , ''00:1d.2'' , ''00:1d.3'' ,
''00:1d.7'', ''02:01.0'' , ''02:02.0'' ] but

Hi,
some more info which I collected during physically accessing the machine
while rebooting. I was suprised that while it was not able to do
anything it was not a ''static'' kernel panic, but the following text was
scrolling continously thru the screen:
