Seems like I am having the same issue.
I assigned my boot loader to be on /dev/md0 rather then the default of /dev/sda1
Does any one have insight to this?
Thanks in advance.
BTW, I have no swap partition and will do a swap file instead, easier to

Binomial test using R
Hullo,
Can someone suggest whether the binomial test as described in the link
http://home.clara.net/sisa/binomial.htm is available in an equivalent form
in R? I have downloaded the R package from the CRAN site.
Using R will help me do this test rapidly
Many Thanks

Yes. I tried that already. Not straightforward.
data <- read.csv("20_newsgroups.csv",fill=TRUE,as.is=T,header=F, quote="", sep=",", encoding="UTF-8")
This line does read it haphazardly. The emails in the column are split into multiple columns and there are several columns with just ?NA?. Totally 202 columns.
And then I removed columns with NA?s and

Help in Optimization of a function
guRus!
I have a function f = exp(x^2-y+(1/z))
Also, x can take values from 1 to 37, y from 2 to 20 and Z from -13 to 51.
How can I find the maximum of f using any of the optimization functions
please?
Is there a way to store the possible values of x, y and Z in a single
variable like in a List or in a multi-dimensional array?
Thanks for your help

[LLVMdev] Are these projects still "open"?
Hi,
I'm looking to do a semester-long course project involving LLVM.
To avoid duplicating efforts, I wanted to know if the following projects
(lifted off http://llvm.org/OpenProjects.html) are done with or are
currently worked upon. Atleast I couldn't find evidence of these in the
1.9 sources.
1. Implement GVN-PRE, a powerful and simple Partial Redundancy

EOF within quoted string
Hi,
Reading http://ssc.wisc.edu/~ahanna/20_newsgroups.csv after downloading it using
data <- read.csv("20_newsgroups.csv",header=TRUE)
throws this.
Warning message:
In scan(file, what, nmax, sep, dec, quote, skip, nlines, na.strings, :

So, for example, the first line in the file is this. This column contains only such text. Is there a way read it ?

Memory usage bar plot
Hi,
I haven't tried the code yet. Is there a way to parse this data
using R and create bar plots so that each program's 'RAM used' figures are
grouped together.
So 'uuidd' bars will be together. The data will have about 50 sets. So if
there are 100 processes each will have about 50 bars.
What is the recommended way to graph these big barplots ? I am looking

Thank you!
Dear Shorewall developers,
Thanks very much for shorewall! I''ve been using Shorewall as
distributed with Debian GNU/Linux (Woody) for a while on a few
firewalls I manage and found it extremely easy to install, setup and
use. I liked the nice and easy to understand design of the whole
package, the documentation, well documented config files and how well
it runs. I just thought
